Another tough session, this time on the track in the Uni, in pretty miserable weather. 5 x 400mtrs (1 minute rests) 1 x 800mtrs (4 minutes rest each side) 5 x 400mtrs (1 minute rests) Target was 73secs on the 400's (about 15:12 5km pace) but i averaged about 74.5 (about 15:35 pace) Target was...

We did a session last night of 5 x 1km on the Warwick Uni campus. 2 minute rests between reps. 3:15 3:16 3:14 3:15 3:16 Pretty pleased with that, we did same session in December and i averaged 3:20 But you feel like you're running well, then someone comes flying past running 2:55 :D

Did 13 miles round Cov this morning as well...... but around Cannon Park/Warwick Uni/Crackley Woods/Kenilworth Rd area. Nice and steady, about 1hr42...... we'd all done hard sessions yesterday.

    Running

I had an entry a few years ago (Winter). Went out on a trial weekend with all the kit i needed, and realised that to be able to do the race properly, you need all the lightest kit available, and i'd be forking out thousands for a complete new set of kit. So i pulled out.

The MdS is indeed impressive, but its nowhere near as tough as doing the Winter Spine (or the summer Spine for that matter)

I've got several training partners building up to Manchester, a couple of them looking for sub-3hrs. I've been toying with stepping up the distance, but i don't think its quite the right time just yet.

We had a session last night in the Warwick Uni campus The all-weather track was closed due to the weather, but ran on the roads with no issue. The car park at Tesco Cannon Park was lethal though.

Boxing Day Matches - The Memories.

There was a period (mainly during the first half of the season) of fantastic matches at Sixfields..... Peterborough was probably the most memorable for me. Arsenal 3-2 for me was probably the peak of supporting City in terms of quality.

Please don't attempt to use logic and sensible reasoning. Let Lampard go to Chelsea, and bring in 6 new signings to the first XI before sunday.

    Atmosphere again

"atmosphere is shit because the team played badly.... it'll be rocking when we play well" "atmosphere is shit because we're too nervous being top of the league..... it'll be rocking when we're struggling again"

    Johnny Got His Gun

He's right that people will turn on Lampard next season (if we're promoted, and if as expected we are struggling). As for the refereeing..... pretty much every club's forum has threads/comments suggesting there is a conspiracy against them.... its pretty pathetic.

I was down in London today, for the Mizuno/FNUL 5km races in Battersea Park. With a minimum entry requirement (for men) of 17:30, i was in the slowest race (there were three seeded "open races", and then the male and female elite races). Ran 17:27 which i was very pleased with..... i wasn't...

    New Years Push

8 from the next four games would be a great return, they aren't easy. But i suspect we lose one of the away games, and fail to win one of the home games.

    Wright penalty decision

We've still got fans who maintain that we were deliberately cheated out of the semi-final against Manchester United..... imagine what it'll be like after a couple of poor VAR in decisions in the Premier League. Can't wait to not be able to celebrate a goal until someone in a TV studio tells us...

    Wright penalty decision

People saying "VAR gives it" and wanting VAR in the championship, should remember back a couple of seasons and what we are losing from the game with VAR. Sooner have questionable refereeing decisions than VAR all day. Its a blight on the game.

    Wright penalty decision

I didn't think the Wright one was a pen in real-time (on the tv), so i can understand the ref not giving it on a single view. Neither did the people i was watching with (all long-time City fans)
