Local papers take a stance and run campaigns all the time! It wasn't too long ago the Telegraph were running a campaign about how wrong it was for clubs to be playing outside of their hometown, that's not really a neutral stance is it?

The club tweeted a couple of days ago that people should check their contact details are up to date and their communication preferences allow the club to send them marketing info as they will be sending out details on season tickets and new kit in the next couple of weeks.

They don't need to create their own database, just subscribe to WyScout. Then it's just having people who can go out to games, most clubs apart from the elite use ex-players who just do it for expenses. You wouldn't have thought it was that hard to set something up.

The only other club I can think of in a similar situation to ours is Stockport. Spot on, not owning the ground is not an issue its what you get in return for the amount you pay that is key. But we'd still be at the bottom of the revenue table as all the teams we would be trying to be...

There's pubs on Foleshill Road, I normally park at the pub next to the fire station and wander up, you come out round the back of Tesco and can then either go through Tesco or along the canal. Don't go in the pubs as I'm always driving so no idea what they're like.

At a guess we rent the ground for a certain number of hours on matchday and can do what we like on the concourse so long as we setup and breakdown with the allotted time.

Not sure we'd sell much of our merchandise in the car park at Villa :D
