Rugby Council still denies 'new stadium' contact...

Realistically can they do that? There's other teams who play close to, but outside of, the place they take their name from. Couple that with the fact you have local councellors saying there are no available sites in the city boundary and I just can't see the FL making that call.

Agree with you. Now that it's all been handed over to them its going to be very difficult for us to get a stake even if we pay a premium for it. The only thing we could do in the short term is hope public pressure might push Wasps to sell however they have been welcomed with open arms so even...

CRFC not affected by WASPS arrival!

People are saying there is no chance of Cov ever getting to Wasps level but they aren't that far apart are they? If Cov go up and at some point Wasps go down aren't they in the same division?

Club’s owners “not prepared to take on the risk” of sharing the Ricoh

It's a tricky one. For me Wasps should not be here and the role of the council and higgs in helping them franchise halfway across the country is a disgrace. Same with the amount of coverage being given to them by CWR and the CT. Having said that we are where we are and while I wouldn't be...

Think there's a third option which is the best way forward, possibly the only way forward if we want any chance of success in the future, but very much depends on Wasps. 50/50 ownership of the Ricoh would be ideal, or at least the best we could hope for from where we are now. Work with Wasps...

Rugby Council still denies 'new stadium' contact...

Wasn't the plan a 60 acre site including the stadium, training complex (incuding academy) and whatever else was going on there such as retail. I guess the training complex might be ditched or seperate if big enough sites aren't available. If we could have got hold of 50% of the Ricoh and built...

    Club shop a disgrace!

    Club shop a disgrace!

Has to be cashflow doesn't it? I doubt Fisher is ordering the shirts himself so I'd guess the manager of the shop doesn't have the cashflow to order stock in, things like replica kits probably have a minimum order we can't afford.

Rugby Council still denies 'new stadium' contact...

Didn't Rugby council originally responded to say they had spoken with the club? Is releasing locations of old sites we didn't get an attempt to prove something is happening or an attempt at misdirection? If we're all talking about sites that by Fishers own admission aren't going to be the new...

    U21 Game Moved to Ryton

Do they still stop people watching training at Ryton. I know they had a fence put up (Boothroyd's idea) but if you wander in to take a look does anyone kick you out?

sign of the times at CCFC

Was just about to post the same. Big difference between first day of the season in the sunshine full of optimism and a freezing day just after Xmas when we're heading into a relegation battle.

    Insight into Richardson

Why would Ricoh staff or employees of pubs and shops lose their jobs? Are you stating that if Wasps move back to London the Ricoh will close? As for the club shop how many people are we talking here? Leads to a question of what happened to the staff of Wasps previous club shop. Or are you...

Who would lose their job if Wasps move back to London?

I do indeed hope the move fails and Wasps move back to London. Similarly I hoped the move to Northampton would fail and we would have to return to Coventry. I'm not the one claiming Wasps moving halfway across the country irrespective of the damage it does to others is ethical.

Long before the talk of a new stadium or leaving the Ricoh there was talk of needing stadium ownership. Do you think if at that point a deal to purchase the stadium that was acceptable to SISU would have seen us move to Northampton or pursue a new ground? I love how Fisher is routinely a lier...

    New stadium no further forward

Interesting point, no mention of Warwick Uni or Bermuda Park, could those be the two sites still being pursued (with the disclaimer that most likely absolutely nothing is happening)?

So to be clear all this Wasps talk about the Coventry community is false? From how you are justifying the move to Coventry if and when attendances drop it will be absolutely fine for Wasps to up and move again.

Any why do we need to build a new stadium? Would there be any need to build a new stadium if we had been offered the sale of the Ricoh on similar terms to Wasps. Of course that wouldn't have happened as there is evidence to suggest CCC would not sell to CCFC in any circumstances. Can you link...

Let's move Man City down here. They even play in Sky Blue so we don't need to change the seats. Can't wait to get my season ticket.

So your view of ethical is that any amount of damage to other clubs is acceptable as long as it benefits Wasps?
