When do we expect to hear about Mowbray ?

The CCC / ACL / Wasps side of things is all financial. Mowbray has said he is not asking Sepalla for more money so I can't really see how it will be down to anyone but SISU if he doesn't return. He seems to be more concerned with being able to structure the club in the way he feels is best...

    Marketing Club

We know there's a big chunk of support that is very fickle and will turn up for big games. We also know PL tickets are not cheap. I would suggest that the lost ticket revenue for Wasps when those fans decide to watch CCFC instead of Wasps will far outweigh any additional F&B revenues they make...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Because when people objected to the loan being made the reason we were told it was such a good idea was how much the taxpayer would make in interest over the term of the loan. That interest will now not be received. Interesting to hear that from your position of being 'intheknow' you confirm...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

I just ignore the franchise side of it. It makes no sense to me. Lived in Ottawa for a while and they're a relatively new team, at least in the modern era, having joined the NHL in 92. Being in between Toronto and Montreal the majority of their fanbase are people who have switched from one of...

When do we expect to hear about Mowbray ?

No news is good news in a way. If they were miles apart with no chance of agreeing we'd have heard by now so the fact they're still talking is a positive. Remember we all thought SISU had blown it as it took a long time to agree the initial contract. That said how long can it really take...

    Marketing Club

You could easily make the argument that Wasps PR is ineffective as they are having to give out huge numbers of free and cheap tickets. We'll really see how good a job they've done in a few years time. I suspect they will be hoping our fortunes don't improve, the worst thing that could happen to...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

You can't really use ice hockey in the UK as an example as they vast majority, if not all, do not own their rinks so are reliant on where facilities are built. Hence you have some big cities, London being the prime example, without a team. They also don't generate enough money to be able to...

    South Stand for home fans?

The trouble was outside wasn't it or am I thinking of the wrong game? Whilst no one wants to see trouble we're hardly the only team that have ever experienced crowd trouble and its not like it was a regular thing so why are we still being punished so many years later. Doesn't see to be the same...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

So we can add the council and taxpayer to the list of people who haven't done as well out of this as was made out would be the case when the deal was done.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

A fool and his money :D If you took what was in the prospectus at face value it sounded like a fantastic deal. Realistically how many people investing know the history of ACL inside out like many on here do.

    buying and selling a house

One thing to remember when picking an estate agent is a lower fee is not necessarily better. If they're making less money off selling your house they'll be less motivated to get on with it and get it sold.

    Bournemouth Loss

That's exactly the problem isn't it. How many teams in the Championship will take that punt? Far more than can be promoted so you're going to have a lot of teams posting big losses year on year. How many failed attempts before its a similar level of debt we had in the championship that we...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

Cllr Maton, who's responsibility this is, has already said there is no possible site for a new stadium in Coventry.

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

The 'we've done nothing wrong and it won't hurt anyone else' line of thought is bizarre. Using their own reasons for purchasing ACL they have made it virtually impossible for CCFC to reach a decent level of success and its madness to suggest that having a top tier rugby team in the city is not...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

I almost certainly will be dead by then but I think we're reaching a point where we have to think that long term. It seems hugely unlikely that we can have any success past L1 level as tenants at the Ricoh so do we stick with that and be content with 10K in an increasingly Wasps branded stadium...

    North Stand petition

Personally I'd rather there was 32K there every week but that's not going to happen any time soon so this makes complete sense. They've said its subject to demand so if people want more of the ground open persuade a few mates to come with you, turn up to every game instead of a handful etc. If...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

I think the opposite, everyone should get behind Fisher and tell him to get on with it. Call his bluff. Would that not depend on location? If, for example, it was in Ansty right next to the business park / motorway would it really be any different to the Ricoh? I suspect the theory would be...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

Why would they need to keep us sweet? If we're not building a new stadium they become a monopoly. They can treat us how they like and charge us whatever they want and we have little other option. With no evidence of things having moved forward on a new ground since the Sixfields move would the...

Club aims to raise £35m from bond

Seems Simon is now back at work and from todays story in the CT it seems local councils have to supply minutes of private meetings under FOI. Hopefully now we'll finally see some questioning from the CT of the Wasps deal to purchase ACL in particular the questions that have been raised as a...

    New stadium meeting with RBC

Here's a horrible thought. If SISU have managed to make the club self sufficient then they might just stick around doing more of the same for the next 7 years in the hope that when Wasps have to pay back the investors they don't have the cash and SISU can pick up the Ricoh on the cheap.
