And it is.
I said that in response to your post (post #32)
After YOU bought his strike rate up.
Now can we accept that we need a better player and all move along.
No, Grendel brought goals up in post #32
I simply replied to that post. I hadn't mentioned goals at all except in response to #32
I measure a player on his impact on the game and overall contribution.
As I've said on here, I can't fault Allen for his work rate, he's simply not good enough...
Are you suggesting that Allen is a better player than O'hare.
Or is your measure of a players contribution measured purely on goals? If it is then Sheaf is fooked!
7 goals in 100 appearances for an AM is not impressive. (at least 1 was against a non league side)
He's the obvious player we need to replace if we want to progress.
But in the interest of balance and fairness I will say that he gives 100% I can't fault him for that.
He's just not top 6...
Yep, and he's still shite. Fucking baffling.
He's just blocking the path for some of our other players.
Hopefully with players coming back to fitness, we will see competition for his place increase. Godden coming back may allow Palmer to drop a bit deeper and replace Allen.
Or maybe...
Mainly the bit when it's suggested that he isn't a waste of space.
I've been consistent in that, throughout his time here, he was in the bomb squad at one time, and imo should of stayed there.
He's the only consistent choice that MR picks that absolutely baffles me.
He's a good player, but Huddersfield are absolutely fuckin shite, so it wasn't exactly a big challenge for any of our players.
(Although Panzo and Allen did a good job of making them look good)
I'd want £15m plus Simms. With time rapidly running out, Everton arnt in a strong negotiating position. I'd say take it or leave it, as realistically the deal would have to be done in the next 24 hours or so to allow time for medicals etc.
