    Fisher on new stadium

Which was totally in line with the stated objectives of the charity at the time. It was only when that offer was made that Higgs suddenly decided they were going to become an arts organisation. There are a lot of sticks to beat SISU with, wanting to engage and carry out work in the community is...

Auditors query Coventry City FC as a going concern

It does indeed. Although I have a suspicion that if ACL isn't profitable when our deal is due for renewal we will be expected to pay more in rent. We also know there is no way Wasps are going to give us 365 revenues, and fairly unlikely we will even get all the revenue we generate.

Didn't OSB say Wasps offer wasn't really unconditional, it was just that they had been given access to certain information and the conditional part of our bid was to be given the same access?

    Fisher on new stadium

The formula valued ACL with an approx 45 year lease at around £20m, Wasps have paid less than £6m for a 250 year lease. Seems to me SISU may have been right to not buy at the formula price. We put in a similar bid to Wasps didn't we? Higgs turned it down and announced they were no longer...

Auditors query Coventry City FC as a going concern

The problem is we don't know what we will pay and what we will get in return. Until we know that how can we decide what is the better option?

    The Ricoh

By change the seats do you mean change the colour or rearrange them so it spells out Wasps at one end? They can of course do what they want but I wouldn't have thought it made much sense financially to replace all the seats just so they are a different colour. Would pay zero attention to them...

    Tad worrying

Not going to be easy to bring in players of a decent standard at this stage of the season, especially ones who are match fit. It's concerning that Waggot and Pressley thought they had a squad for promotion but in a couple of weeks Mowbray has clearly seen they aren't even good enough to keep us...

Hey lads, bit of help regarding buying a Coventry shirt.

The shirts are generally quite a tight fit, they seem to forget fans aren't in the same condition as they players! XXL would probably be similar to XL in a regular shop purchased t-shirt. Zero chance of them getting more in now, the stock levels have been like this for months and we're due a...

    Mowbray looking to add

If Mowbray has been able to work out this quickly that the squad we have is not good enough to avoid relegation how could Waggot and Pressley not see it? If we genuinely do have a top 6 budget then Waggot has questions to answer about the standard of the squad. Specifically we need to know if...

Auditors query Coventry City FC as a going concern

Pretty much all clubs will rent as it makes sense to have the stadium management separate to the club so I don't think we can really take SISU to task for suggesting that sort of setup. The key is what exactly we are paying and what we get in return. For example if they said £100K a year for the...

Auditors query Coventry City FC as a going concern

That's a key point, is it 50% of revenue or 50% of profit. Two very different things and of course it's only matchdays anyway. Some of us have and got refused an answer under a claim of it being confidential.

    Trust Reaction To Club's Accounts

For me it is fine for the trust to take an anti-SISU stance but it should be done in a professional manner allowing them to maintain dialogue with the club. Just saying SISU should sell isn't really helping things as there's no buyer in the picture. Maybe a better way forward would be for the...

    Fisher on new stadium

SISU didn't need to be interested for there to be a competitive bidding situation. For all we know there may be other parties who would have been interested in the Ricoh had it been placed on the market. Doesn't need to be a sports 'franchise' could be stadium or arena operating companies, hedge...

    Fisher on new stadium

The key point there is you say a public asset was going down the swanee, the exact opposite of what CCC were claiming. If it was indeed the case that ACL were in difficulties and needed to be offloaded it should have been put on the market, make it known to all interested parties what terms the...

    Fisher on new stadium

A few posts ago you were saying that was preposterous so which is it? Surely if it could be done then SISU talking about a new stadium should not have had an impact on the stance of CCC?
