They've played poorly, it doesn't mean fundamentally they are bad players or can't play together. It's 3 games one of which we won (but that doesn't count). Midfield 3 who had played together in a competitive zero times before the Stoke game but have already been written off.

The funny thing is the diagnosis on here all summer was that the keepers were crap, then the back 4 but nothing about the midfield. 3 league games in and we're in the top half and now it's a crisis because we haven't got a player as good as Sheaf when he's injured.

Well the chances of going up even with an extra midfielder are slim, and therefore we would still likely to be selling a star asset at least next summer. Thankfully, we've already signed one future replacement to help out. We could have just signed another midfielder in case of an injury crisis...
