Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Both Moore and Morris had a worse non-penalty minutes per goal than Simms. This obsession with those two players needs to stop. It’s embarrassing. Haji Wright is miles better than both players and it would be suicidal (for our promotion aspirations) to replace him with one of those strikers.

This is the time of year where the worst takes come out… You can tell we’re all bored and just want the football back! 😂

We already have a striker better than Sunderland’s ones… You’re not getting better than Haji for £5-8m.

How do you plan on improving that position then? If you’re buying in England, the price will be inflated and abroad, you run the risk they may not adapt. We’re chasing promotion, if we sell our top scorer from the last 2 seasons you need to sign someone to make an impact this season...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

It’s a gamble to sell if it leaves us a weaker team selling Haji. You’re looking at spending around £10m for a striker to replace him and that player would likely have higher wages. Anything less than £15m is a waste of time for us.

The sample size is far too small to make that judgement. I just think it’s down to the team’s form as a whole.

Labour have made changes to the planning system to be fair, so it’s worth keeping an eye on that development. There’s also gaps in the infrastructure that needs to be addressed, e.g. transport, sewage, water, electric links. Finally, you need public services to support growing communities...

How many jobs are in that area? The local of economies of Wales, Cornwall and other seaside towns is dominated by tourism. There’s not many high skilled, high paying jobs. Wales has tried cracking down on second homes. All it’s done is damage the local economy without helping people get on the...

There’s a shortage of 1.5m houses and that number is increasing. There aren’t that many houses left empty. Where there are empty houses, they don’t tend to be in places that people want to live in as the areas tend to be places with high levels of economic inactivity. Even in London, where...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

This is getting ridiculous. He’s not consistent? He’s scored 10+ goals every season he’s played for us. You’re not getting much better or much consistent with the sums you tout. People questioned whether we’d get £15+ million for Vik and they were just wrong.

When men earn more than women, it’s the ‘patriarchy’ but as the roles reverse, the headline is ‘what’s up with men?’ 😂

Landlords have no bearing on the overall housing stock. The issue this country faces is that there’s a huge ‘deficit’ because the rate of which houses are built is not keeping up with the number of people that need houses. This fundamental issue would remain even if second home ownership was...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Correct, and Haji Wright occupied the Sunderland for both our goals. These aren’t ‘assists’ per se and there isn’t anything that measures this, but it gave the space for Rudoni and EMC to score their goals. Admittedly, I’ve not watched the 2nd leg back. For Rudoni’s goal, there were 3 defenders...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

If playoff form was everything, Vik failed to score in 3 games. If Haji Wright leaves this summer, we’ll be cashing in a large cheque for him. He is a top end striker in this league. He didn’t have the best run of form to close out the season but as a team, our xG and form as a whole dropped off.

Are strikers not allowed to score more than 1 goal in a game now?! 😂 He was the joint 6th top goalscorer in the league having missed a quarter of it. Haji had one of the best minutes per goal ratios in the league. Utter madness.

    Starmer lost control of borders

Why is Starmer looking to process asylum applications in ‘return hubs’? It is effectively a U-turn on scrapping the Rwanda plan. If you mean ‘just simply process them’ the idea is to approve the asylum claims, this isn’t deterring illegal migration or actually dealing with this issue. Looking...

    Starmer lost control of borders

That simply isn’t the reality. Generally speaking, if you make it to the UK mainland, legally or illegally, you will remain. In practice, the system is so broken, around 70-80% of people asylum applicants are granted. In the 2000s, this was around 5%. At this point, the 5 year timer for...

    Starmer lost control of borders

Well, the ever increasing costs associated with housing these people. In the longer term, the increased welfare bill that comes as soon as indefinite leave to remain is granted. Particularly given the government scrambles around save £5bn by scrapping winter fuel allowances.

    Starmer lost control of borders

Which has nothing to do with anything this government has done since they won power. It’s Tory policy that’s a driver for this decrease. It’s not really a cause for celebration, a net migration the size of Coventry year on year is scarcely sustainable.
