    Tom Bayliss

I get what you’re saying Nick, but Hiwula missed a couple of very good changes against Scunthorpe, one against Wimbledon and one against Oxford. Bakayoko was through against Wimbledon too and squandered it. I’m hoping they come good but we can only comment on what we’ve seen and produced so far...

    Tom Bayliss

I think we are quite lucky with the array of talent we have at our disposal in midfield (Doyle, Kelly, Bayliss, Ogogo, Shipley, Andreu, Jones, Allassani) compared to the striker department which between them, doesn’t look as though it can hit a cows arse with a banjo. I know it’s early doors but...

Match Thread Coventry City at Oxford United Match Thread - Tuesday 14th Aug

Or not spent £200k on an out of favour Walsall striker with a poor track record that we didn’t need. Surely that money added to our previous offer could’ve pushed through the deal with Pompey? To me, that would’ve made more sense.

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

On the bench for Pompey tonight I see.

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

I spoke to Dave Boddy outside the ground yesterday, nice bloke who took a minute or two to chat about a few bits and bobs. I asked if we were still pursuing Chaplin and he said yes, trying to do a loan with a view to a permanent arrangement but (and I quote) ‘Portsmouth are taking the piss’.

I felt he played quite well yesterday. Glad Robins has given him the jersey despite Burge being back. Should be his to lose now.

    City loan window thread

Agree with what you’re saying in terms of Chaplin, I think it’s more the ‘like for like’ nature of what Chaplin would bring. Who’s to say that Hiwula won’t be that man, certainly too soon to gauge. Interesting that #10 remains vacant which for me points toward us still looking to do something...

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

Only caught a snippet, but I think you’re right. They’re both as bad as each other.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Scunthorpe United Match Thread - Saturday 4th Aug

Truly gutted that we lost that and it was ours to throw away. Positive performance and we should’ve been 3 or 4 up before conceding a couple of very poor goals. Tony Andreu was my MOTM, oozed quality every time he got the ball at his feet. Ogogo likewise. Felt bad for Grimmer, one of my...

Match Thread Coventry City vs Scunthorpe United Match Thread - Saturday 4th Aug

His interview with Robins was woeful. Asked the same shit questions old over and over again. Didn’t bother to ask about potential signings.

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

CWR hearing rumours that Chappers looks like joining early next week. Then again this is Clive, who has just called JCH, Jordan Clarke.

It's all doom and gloom again...

Unfortunately mate, there’s no hiding the fact that a lot of people who were there that day won’t bother again until they get another chance of a big day out. Some of those comments are ridiculous even for our ‘fans’. Let me guess, they either came from Facebook group or the Telegraph. I do...

    Goalkeeper Next Season

There isn’t much between them. The last performance I can recall seeing from O’Brien, was at Crewe away when Burge sat out because of a runny nose. He proved more than capable that day. Saying that, I’d still like a better number one than the pair of them. Those that keep saying ‘Burge is fine...

Do you not remember when he was here? He was incredible week in, week out. Flawless in fact.

    O'Brien Wanted by Eastleigh

Good competition for Burge?! He doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Westwood, let alone stand any chance of playing ahead of him. Westwood was one of the best keepers this club has ever seen.
