Maybe, but I have never known of a retrospective ban for someone committing a foul, even a professional one.
Multiple instances of retrospective bans for violent conduct.
We've not been hard done by here.
That's completely true.
The fact that they can't take retrospective action when a ref saw it is stupid. Especially when it's violent conduct that badly injures a player.
You won't get a retrospective ban for being a niggly little shit, but you will for violent conduct.
Don't think anyone's jumping on him, just saying the ban's not unreasonable, and he was a tit for doing it. Both true.
Because whilst there were mitigating factors for the result, his personal performance was dire.
I agree unfair to judge over a difficult full debut, though.
He was an average Championship midfielder. Very good below that.
I remember people saying that they couldn't take another season of Doyle in the late 00s.
It will, and he would have been very young at that time; players develop at different rates and at different times.
Not making a splash at your first club is hardly a yardstick.
I'd argue we got no more points than we deserved in those games.
Southampton you can take out, as it was a good 45 minutes followed by backs to the wall. Fair enough.
The rest, we were shit. Preston, the worst of the lot. Much better than them 11 v 11, then them down to ten and no space. Ok...
I do this on Football Manager, tbf. I'm light in a position, get a series of bids in for likely players, can't make my mind up on which is best, so end up signing them all.
