As much as I’d like to see some of these people get a slap, where does the vigilante-ism end? Far right twats get a beating, go after people the next day tooled up, etc, etc. Needs to be nipped in the bud by law enforcement.

Don’t know anywhere near enough about this, but if you’ve got a handful of officers with batons vs a lot more, some with confirmed weapons, many that you won’t be sure whether they’re carrying or not, calling for an amnesty probably isn’t as stupid as it first sounds.

For me, we’re in “full force of the law” territory now. Riots culminating in vigilante groups has a risk of spiralling to an even more devastating effect than we’ve seen so far.
