You couldn't have a ground that is more dilapidated than Fratton Park and has less facilities for generating revenue. They made just short of £1.5m according to their most recent accounts from non matchday revenues. They paid around £100K in ground maintenance the first year the trust was in...
The rent needs to be a reasonable level. Any rent deal needs to give access to all revenues 365 days a year. Without that we are way behind pretty much every other team.
A rich owner would be nice and if they were prepared to chuck money in with no hope of a return would offset any issues with...
Come on astute, surely you can see there's a huge difference between paying £2m rent to get £35m sponsorship in return and a deal such as ours where we pretty much get nothing but access to the pitch for a few hours.
I'm not aware of any evidence indicating the football club are funding legal proceedings. There's little to suggest if SISU had an extra few quid in their pocket they'd hand it over to TM to spend and allow the club to be run at a loss again.
The only hope you've got is CWR forget to turn off the feed on the BBC site, happens occasionally. If you're based overseas Sky Blue Player is definitely worth the money.
You should probably but that into context. When they first moved in they were paying a % a ticket sales above the capacity of the old stadium which was working out to approx £2m a year. The deal was changed to a rent of £2m a year however the big difference in the new deal is Man City get to...
The sad thing is for many years people would have seen us as comparable to the likes of Southampton and Norwich, if not ahead of them. We're nowhere near following in their footsteps at the moment.
People can choose not to go for all sorts of reasons and if they're not going because of some particular stance then fair enough. What I genuinely don't understand is what those who are as a matter of principle not putting money into the club think it is achieving.
There seems to be this idea...
What do the NOPM supporters believe they are now achieving? SISU aren't taking money out of the club which is now being run as self sufficient. I must be missing something because the only impact I can see NOPM having is lowering the playing budget.
