Yes, strange this was never mentioned before. In fact Cllr McNicholas who is deputy cabinet member for transport previously said:

Letter from club re. Burton tickets

That's not good. Especially as they were tweeting this an hour ago If you're on twitter might be worth tweeting the club, that seems to get a pretty quick response. Hopefully there's no problem with your second order.

Don't worry, Cllr Maton is on the case. Just to point out these are actual quotes and not something I've made up for a cheap laugh. and my personal favourite

    Predictions for Monday

After losing at the weekend a win is needed, don't want to get into a run of losses. Now with two players out for several months a win is even more important. Lose and the doom and gloomers will go into overdrive, that negativity can transfer to the players. Think it will be a good day, 2-0 to...

Exactly, at the very least there should be a mechanism for the grant to be revoked and public money returned if certain key services aren't delivered.

Well in that case I look forward to away fans being moved much closer to the home fans as we have been repeatedly told it is the SAG that have blocked that happening.

Maddison out for a few months

Willis needs surgery. Doesn't really say what either of the injurys are. Not good news for either. Need a win on Monday to stop the doom and gloom merchants going to town.

The original plan had 2 trains an hour as the regular service, that service was to be extended to 3 carriages on event days with an additional shuttle service between Coventry and Ricoh stations running 2 trains per hour of 6 carriages each. At some point that's been massively scaled back.

As I said it is led by the council, more specifically Building Control. From the CCC website: Maybe the Telegraph could ask on what basis the SAG have made this decision. I can't see that it would impede access for fire or ambulance crews so that leaves the council, police and St Johns (an...

But the original proposal, when requests for public money were being made, had capacity for close to 2.5K passengers an hour. Now we're told maximum of 75 - that's a pretty big difference so what has happened there? If London Midland had paid to build the station and were saying it is low...

Nobody has said the council run the rail network. What has been said is that public money has been given to this scheme on the basis of a level of service which will now not be provided. Would you not expect there to be some sort of safeguard where public money is involved? Also if you actually...

Maddison out for a few months

Obviously its not good news him being out but lets face it he's had a couple of good games and wasn't expected to play every game this season. Not sure we can expect the wheels to completely fall off just because he's out for several months. Time now for someone else to step up. I'm sure if the...

    The Ashes

The argument, that seems to come mainly from the EU, is that competition is of benefit to the consumer but I don't really see that. Sky hasn't gone down as a result of losing the Champions League, in fact its gone up. It won't go down as a result of losing the Ashes. So if you're a football or...

More News On Ricoh Train Station

On the basis of this you're looking at close to 2.5K an hour capacity, admittedly that would be commuter level crowding with the carriages bursting at the seams but for a short trip that would be acceptable. Thats not too far short of 25% of our average attendance at present, I would suggest if...

More News On Ricoh Train Station

The lack of an increase from one train an hour was farcical to start off with but the ban on matchday use seems more to do with our old friends the Safety Advisory Group than the train operator, those sensible chaps that make away fans sit about 5 blocks away from home fans. Have a guess who...
