They need to explain why some people at these events were breaking the law and others weren’t. Either they all were all they all wasn’t. If you were being cynical you’d suggest that they were giving a quota of fines to issue.

So at these work events people were drinking until they were sick, fighting, people been kicked out of No.10 at 3am only to carry on in the garden. Oh. And some of the work events went on past 4am.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think this is a really important point. If people including Tory MP’s are genuinely concerned about the cost of living, Ukraine etc. don’t go out and promote the distraction from that, actively remove that distraction

He’s certainly from Coventry, read an interview with him years ago and apparently he had a trial with us and Villa as a youth player. Don’t recall him specifically saying that he was a Coventry fan but I guess he could/should be.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There is a flip side to that. It’s clear the government don’t want to take “drastic” measures to help with the cost of living crisis. Just tonight the tune is changing. Why? Other than we were in complete lockdown when Boris partied multiple times we wasn’t when Starmer “partied” on a single occasion. If you want to ignore the legal differences then yeah, it’s exactly the same.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This. The notion that a government who are actively taking the decision to not tackle the cost of living is somehow distracted by their own behaviour rings hollow. Partygate or no partygate isn’t going to change how they govern, if anything it’s the perfect example of how they govern. Missed...
