Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

As you should be, my fundamental premise that when it comes to freedom of speech, all speech is protected. It’s perverse that speech, at any level, can be punished harsher than actual violent crimes.

I’d wait until this has played out properly because Lucy Connolly is supposedly considering legal action against the police. The jist of it being that a) the misrepresented what she said to the CPS and b) manipulated her into pleading guilty. A police corruption unit is investigating statements...

Without getting into the nitty gritty, she was encouraged to plead guilty. Whichever way you look at things, 31 months sentencing for a nasty racist tweet cannot outweigh sentences being passed to genuinely violent criminals. That is a perverse way to organise your justice system.

Its YouTube views (39k) was about half the total Green Party membership (65k). The first guest, Ash Sarkar (Novara) has a reasonably large following (400k+ on Twitter).

Zack Polanski was asked about Graham Linehan who tweeted about punching a trans woman ‘in the balls’. He said it was proportionate that he was arrested for that which is just bonkers. To circle back to Lucy Connolly, what she said was awful but 31 months for a racist tweet when violent...

I’d like to know what % of listeners were non-Green party members.

With respect to Kamala Harris, she was clearly unable to speak about Her campaign paid 160k ish to the ‘Call Me Daddy’ podcast to set up a studio for her appearance. Joe Rogan accused the Harris campaign team of messing him about with the location of the podcast and supposedly would only do...

To some extent, yes because the outreach of the podcasts he was on (Theo Von, Joe Rogan etc.) was great for a) young men, b) people who didn’t vote and c) “independents”. Kamala Harris went on podcasts but the talking points were much more controlled from what’s emerged post-election. As a...

He’s not a serious person. He killed whatever credibility he had by saying that Graham Linehan arrest was ‘proportionate’… Naturally, he’ll be skewered on national TV so quickly retreated to the safe spaces of podcast where we can talk to like minded people. If he remains in post and the ‘Your...

What was the top rate of income tax when Blair was PM? Raising tax every 6-12 months will also bring down our society, to use your lexicon.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Depth for whom though? Grimes has missed 3 league games since the 2017/18 season. In preseason, I raised some promising underlying stats of Torp’s performances last season and he’s performing above that level. The concern here is there isn’t a player who can do what Torp does in our squad...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Spent a lot of time in preseason arguing that was the highest priority position… it took to the end of August to prove just how light we are. The one good thing about signing Wolfenden is that with 4 CBs + Bidwell, 5-3-2 is a viable option if we run out of wingers.

Match Thread Coventry City - Norwich City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Sep

This block of 3 games is a real litmus test for where we’re at as a team. Norwich, Leicester and Blues is a tough run in and 7+ points in those 3 games gives a lot of cause for optimism. Under Lampard we’ve done well to beat teams where we’ve had bad records and back us to add to that this...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Upon reflection, I’m not fussed about letting either player leave without bringing in replacements. Starting with Rapha, it’s apparent that Lampard doesn’t actually trust him to come off the bench to change a game at our level. He’s only been willing to sub him on when we’re winning by a clear...

Have I missed something… We wanted to sign Hughes AND Wolfenden?! It wasn’t an either/or situation? Rak-Sakyi for a permanent makes sense and hopefully something we can revisit. Would be a top signing.

Which goes hand in hand with the recruitment policy. No point trying to recruit players that are outside your criteria, one of which will be salary demands and transfer fee. If Hull could spend money this window, there’s a chance they would have sold Hughes to us. Then, why bother bidding...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

I’d like to know what the reasons are behind it all. Lampard was on record saying that didn’t have enough LWers and CBs in the run up to deadline day. You’ve got to assume Lampard allowed the Sheaf move to go ahead because the 4 we’ve got will get us through to Jan comfortably, particularly...

The headcount is actually less than 22/23. The quality is undoubtedly higher but it’s a 50 game season, injuries/suspensions will happen.

I’ve not seen the video myself (if you could send a link, may I have it please) and going off what other people have said. My bad if I’ve got the wrong end of the stick here, I’ve had a busy weekend so not caught up on Cov stuff. Lampard had said we need a winger so is probably annoyed that we...
