Butts Park Arena is new home

This thread is hilarious. An unconfirmed report of a new ground and the usual suspects all appear to start shitting all over it before we have any details. Suddenly we desperately need 30K plus for all those sold out games we have and a massive exhibition hall like the Ricoh. I love the idea...

    Herbert Under Threat

Reads very much to me as a prepared statement that's been passed to him to put out. Notice that nowhere does it say the cuts aren't being made so if they aren't getting the money how are they going to maintain the current standard?

You mean like Bournemouth, Watford and Swansea?

Butts Park Arena is new home

You should probably read the article linked to in the opening post before making a comment like that.

    renaming the League

Good to see they're spending their time and money dealing with the important issues in the game.

Butts Park Arena is new home

It makes more sense to need CCC's help if its in Coventry, and even more if they own the site freehold. If it was outside the city CCC might have some involvement but I doubt they would be a vital part of the project. Who knows, my gut says it will never happen but there's been so many strange...

Where do you think the stadium site in Coventry might be?

Was just using that as a random example. Saying that you have more faith in the FL than I do!

    Armstrong staying

All sounds very positive. Think it makes sense as well. He's happy here, they're happy with how we're handling him. No point rocking the boat. Who knows, if they stay up and we get promoted we might get him again next season! Lets hope they keep winning and don't end up sacking McClaren!

Where do you think the stadium site in Coventry might be?

Well we had a few hours of optimism! As others have said I'm not too fussed if its just over the boundary. Move to, for example, the NEC and its a totally different prospect. Poor all round, someone should have briefed him. When he said Coventry in the first place why didn't any of the press...

    Reice Charles-Cook, contract extension

Good stuff. Deserves this after his performances since coming in. Fingers crossed he continues to develop.

    will there be friction

Why would he get involved with that? At the moment the budget goes to Mowbray and Venus and they use it as they see fit. Can't see any reason that will change.

    Marton Fulop RIP

Terrible news. Maybe the trust can sort something with a suitable charity and have the bucket collectors out at a future game.

Where do you think the stadium site in Coventry might be?

Even if there isn't getting a park and ride up and running for matchdays isn't really going to be that hard. Think it would be the ideal solution. Unfortunately I suspect us talking about it on here is the closest we will get.

Where do you think the stadium site in Coventry might be?

Is the need for car parking and infrastructure a bit of a red herring? Its not like we had thousands of parking spaces and a motorway right up to HR. How many other grounds do we visit where you have to park in the street or in local businesses car parks. For me the Butts is ideal. The issue of...

    will there be friction

Can't see why there would be. Mark Venus is in place to deal with footballing things and the new chap has said he's not going to get involved. Suspect he has other things to worry about.

Back to being the biggest club in Coventry?

Forgot one other thing I was told. Wasps want to make the stadium cashless, didn't someone try that before ;)

Back to being the biggest club in Coventry?

If CCC have to pay out to SISU then it means they have been found to have done something wrong. Wouldn't you then have an issue with CCC rather than SISU? Don't think the taxpayer would foot the bill. The council should have insurance for this kind of thing. Even if they don't they should have...
