2 things: 1. it’s far more difficult for youth to break through into a team challenging towards the top of the Championship vs when we were in L2. 2. we’re getting pillaged on what seems like an annual basis as a result of EPPP. The deck is stacked against us until we run a Category 1 academy.

Burroughs will get a gig at L1 or L2. Howley I’m less certain on.

Thing that concerns me with Toffolo is that he’s neither quick enough to consistently provide an overlap nor good enough on the ball to invert. Don’t think he’s a terrible player but he’s quite similar to Bidwell in that sense, albeit better and a couple of years younger.

I do think the more athletic box-to-box midfielder is what we’re missing from our starting 11, but as MMB said I’d be more keen on moving Eccles on to make way for that signing.
