Positively shows he is willing to change, but does seem to need a tinker to get going. Hoping we can either get going in a 4-3-3 or we change shape a bit earlier than last year.

Think we stuck we a 5-2-1-2 since the first championship year until O’Hare got injured and then we went between 5-2-2-1 and the 5-2-1-2. Since then though it’s been a bit all over the place with 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1

Further on this, you could argue robins takes a bit longer to get the best out of his players as opposed to setting up that way. Take last year once we changed shape and played more direct we started to fly but it took robins some time to realise it wasn’t working

    Summer transfer window 2024

We could always change shape to a 4-4-2 since we’d have sheaf/ Eccles as enforcers and Torp/Rudoni as a more creative 8s? God I hope robins reads this forum 🤣

Would also add da silva onto that list. Think he could surprise a few this year.

I mean on the expectations, while fans have been a bit optimistic like myself. The board are asking for play offs. Robins has been and is probably the best manager this club has had in a long long time but after all the money spent if we can’t get sixith. You do have to ask the question.

Me too, got my Sky blues talk rep to build 🤣

    Summer transfer window 2024

Disagree with this. O’Hare only started 18 games. Don’t think he was the world beater we at times made him out to be. Think Jack is the perfect replacement and we’ll see the best of him at the end of the year. We do need a CM tho even if it’s a sheaf understudy

    Transfer Rumour Bobby Clark

This is the issue, in a 4-3-3 I think Allen’s energy would of done a job but he’s not and has never been a holding midfielder he doesn’t have the strength to do it. Would love to see us look at the Peterborough CM as a understudy for sheaf and stick with a 4-3-3 or move to a 4-4-2

I was thinking about this today. What is the clubs identity footballing wise under robins. Since our possession based system in league one. I’d argue we’ve been a stronger counter team but seemingly every window we look to become a possession team like last year. Wonder why we don’t stick with a...

Been wanting it all pre season. Really think 4-4-2 would be great for us. Think we should look to emulate Stuttgard in how they play with through balls and pass and move.

Game 1 of asking robins to go for a 4-4-2. Think we should mix it to allow fitness for some and rotation. Happy to go out but want to see the game plan. Dolvin Da Silva - Kitching - Lati - Burroughs EMC - Eccles - Torp- Raphel Wright - BTA

I think one of the big worry points for me was for all our options up front we seemed very one dimensional. We passed it around the wings, passed back and tried to hit a long pass to Simms or through to BTA. Needed Torp to show some creativity. Was surprised we didn’t move to a midfield three to...

Taking simms off was madness he was the only one holding up the play and allowing our midfield to play in. Why not take Allen off and go 4-4-2

Happy to go in level. Needs robins to get some belief in them. Would swap Allen for Eccles or Lati in a deeper role.

    New Assistant Manager

Going to stick my head out and say I don’t personally mind this change. We saw last year how the new rule diminished the role of the number two with them not being allowed to come up. Think Adi said something about it in the telegraph article. Both seem decent and good blokes who everyone knows...
