The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Best site for factual information is fullfact.org, not just for the EU for politics in general. They fact check, and list sources, PMQs, Question Time etc.

    Euro 2016 big thread

There has to be allowance for someone who moves from, for example, USA to England when they are an infant. Its finding the balance. How many people would you ever ask what nationality they are and they wouldn't know yet they will happily play for another country.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

This is the problem with politics in general in this country. A lot of people are entrenched in their views and don't even want to consider the alternative viewpoint.

    RIP John Bloxham

Not a name I recognised but did a lot of work with the academy kids. A lot of tweets from former players saying how big an influence he was on there careers. 70 is no age to go these days.

    Simon Gilbert Announcement

You mean the Lib Dem Daily? Its bloody awful and the football coverage is the worst. That's not surprising though seeing as a Villa fan from Nuneaton is chief sports writer.

    Time for a trust statement

No idea. Think a lot of people were so into a new stadium by that point there wasn't much rational thought put into anything. In an ideal world the council would have come in with a fresh pair of eyes and realised the whole thing was bonkers and looked for alternatives rather than taking over...

Do what other councils have done. CCC purchase HR, club pays an affordable rent. When purchase price has been paid back to CCC ownership passes back to the club.

    Euro 2016 big thread

How come when we play someone like Doncaster at the Ricoh and they bring less than 500 fans we have about 10 empty blocks between fans, netting and loads of police yet here they sit fans a couple of feet from each other with just a handful of stewards to control them?

WTF?! Even Less Chance Of Winning JPT

Used to get some decent crowds at HR for reserve games but that's back in the late 80s when teams didn't have such big squads and you'd regularly get 'names' appearing. Think it was only a quid to get in as well. If fans don't boycott we'll be stuck with it. What happens when you get Man City...

    Euro 2016 big thread

The only thing that has changed is there's more teams but that can't be it. So you have to look at something specific to France, the policing, stewarding and general organisation.

Obviously never happened as they had no money but Pompey came up with this ridiculous idea to build a new stadium actually in the harbour.
