    365 Revenue at Chesterfield

No, I queried why Wasps couldn't start work on their promised state of the art facility, given they proclaim to be so well off, before finding someone else to pay for it. Your response was about who paid for the academy which is totally irrelevant.

Apologies Mart, got it wrong, they actually said richest club in the world.

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

Are you suffering from selective amnesia? When it looked like SISU were after the Ricoh there was template letters being passed around to send to the council pleading with them not to sell SISU the stadium as they would load debt against it.

What's that got to do with anything? Did CCFC promise a brand new state of the art facility in the city? Do they go around proclaiming to be the richest club in Europe?

I only need SISU can't afford to run the Ricoh and I've got a full house on italia bingo.

Supporters' group tells Coventry City FC owners to clarify stadium plans

Don't forget they also used it to pay back the owner. Imagine if SISU had managed to buy the Ricoh and then mortgaged it to the hilt to pay themselves back.

But they haven't got a sponsor to do it. They are looking for a sponsor to pay for it. Why can't the self proclaimed richest club in Europe pay for a new (not refurb of Higgs, that's not what was promised) state of the art trainng ground in Coventry?

Why did people stop attending when we moved to the Ricoh? We were still in the city boundary.

No i'm saying 3K on a petition from a team with an average 5K attendance is pretty impressive. Especially when their forum bans anyone who speaks against the move.

Wasn't their average attendance about 5K?

£24m was quoted just for matchday revenues. The formula price to buy the Higgs share was in the region of £10m.

But you don't know what happened before all the PR and walking out. From what I have been told the move to Northampton was initiated as the club couldn't get ACL to the table to negociate a better deal. They claimed they didn't need CCFC so the current deal could be left to run its course in a...

    365 Revenue at Chesterfield

You can't possibly know that as it was never placed on the open market. There were many who thought there would be no other interest apart from CCFC, turned out to be wrong so how can anyone assert with any confidence there wouldn't have been others interested? Even if there wasn't you only...

    365 Revenue at Chesterfield

I can see the point you're making. That if it will cost us £20m for a new ground why not bid £20m for ACL. However that brings you back to the council's sale process. If it had been placed on the open market and muliple potential purchasers came forward it would have driven the price up and...
