Truthfully this is where I am with it. My big big concern with it all is that this is not a Traditional Robins squad. He’s always had experience throughout the side and big characters who manage the squad himself. He often said in the playoff year how good the group was at self policing...

All good shouts. Wilfried Nancy would be an interesting shout if he would come from the MLS. Plays a 3-4-3 which you could argue suits our squad as well.

To be fair, if Robins goes it’ll be a hard task for anyone let alone people like us who are fans of football. Sure the analytics would be able to pull a rabbit out the hat (or at least have blind faith they wouldn’t hire Russell slade 🤣)

Imagine Steven would have his own number two from his Plymouth and Stoke days.

    Sheaf

I could be wrong but he played today way off it. Wonder if he’s over thinking due to pressure (think Saddle said something about the internal pressure on sheaf). Seemed to be snatching at shots and imo wasn’t as calm as normal in his passing

Not as a manager no. Assistant or coach (with one or two going), would be happy but needs to develop a lot further.

Good Article on him here if you want to find out more but tldr plays a high pressing 4-3-3. https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/eirik-horneland-brann-pressing-2024-tactical-analysis-tactics#:~:text=Horneland%20typically%20sets%20his%20team,opposition's%20half%20in%20figure%204.

Wonder if Patrick Vieira would come. Out of management and might want another shot in England although assume wages would be an issue.

Couldn’t see Lee Carsley as seems settled in National football. Liam Rosenior would be good but he’s just got a new role so might be hard to get out of the role. Would be interested in Luke Williams think he did a fantastic job at Notts but wonder about if Swans would let him go or if he would...

Probably a bit silly for us just considering our wages for which a Moyes would demand. Think we’d be better looking for young managers coming up the leagues or abroad who can bring a tactical identity to the club. Id look at Luke Williams, Henrik Rydstrom (might be a bit too far for us but was...

    What needs to change?

Alright let’s give this a shot. Firstly I would play a 5-3-2 possession based style where we can change it to a 5-2-3 and a 5-2-1-2 depending on the team we are against. I think playing sheaf as a DM would be my first thought allowing Jack and Josh to play as two 8s. On the assistant...

    Rudoni …?

Don’t think he’s a ten. Decent player but think he’s so high up, he often comes into defence to get on the ball where he can’t do much. Wonder if we would be better playing the midfield in a back three as follows: Sheaf Eccles - Rudoni

    Time's Up

Yeah not 100% sold on the changes. Would have personally moved to a 5-2-3 as they moved to a box to try and narrow the game, and played wright and sakamoto on the wing for bassate and Jack.
