That would be a percentage of the vote cast not a percentage of those eligible to vote. Pretty sure with the unions it has to be a percentage of those eligible to vote not a percentage of the votes cast. Basically anyone who was eligible to vote but didn’t was automatically counted as a no.

Must have been a different freeloader. It was one pro fossil fuel /anti renewable Tory MP backbencher getting a “consultancy” fee from some oil company. Mind you, climate change denying Tory backbencher doesn’t really narrow it down as to who it was. A case of take your pick.

Although I agree it sort of suggests that the reason Redwood is such an awful MP is because he’s distracted. Then again I guess the reason he’s such an awful MP is because he doesn’t take it seriously enough to treat it as a full time job. Freeloader. There is an argument for giving MP’s a huge...

My memory isn’t what it once was but I think when we signed the deal with Subaru it was with the importer who then passed the cost onto the dealer network. They then all moaned about it saying they wasn’t given a choice in paying it and any publicity in the press wouldn’t be on the back pages...

Never said it was an endorsement. I really liked Embraces 1st album, The Good Will Out (and I stand by that) but didn’t see them tour it. When they released another album I went and seen them which was also the only time I ever saw Coldplay as the then unknown Coldplay was their support act...

Not really. Chris Martin wrote it specifically for Embrace. It was sort of a love song to them as Embrace was a big influence on Coldplay. Chris Martin quoted as saying if they’d been no Embrace there would never have been Coldplay.

Am I confusing him with someone else or was it Brigden who sued his brother (and lost) over the family business after his parents died only to be described by the judge as a liar?

Probably something to do with all the free publicity the right wing press are giving him and Megan. Someone suggested the other week that on a day that The Mail accused them of being attention seekers in a headline The Mail had produced over 60 different articles about them in the previous 2...

I guess I better start believing it then. Feeling very underwhelmed by it, possibly because SISU still has a small involvement and that worries me. Even Fisher going hasn’t buoyed me.

I read it’s now 1 in 7 beds are blocked by patients who can’t be discharged because the social care isn’t there for care in the community, so if it was 10% it’s rising. We also have to point out that it’s not just the NHS that is feeling the strain due to the cuts in social healthcare budgets...
