    Our Weakest Position

EMC has been chipping in - scored in 3 consecutive games in December. Lampard has signed Esse to start ahead of Sakamoto. Esse does just about everything Sakamoto does but just a lot better.
  2. Mucca Mad Boys

    Our Weakest Position

There’s definitely a tactical element to it, Eccles was doing the same role today. Agree that we need a LB and I’d like a CM/AM if possible.

    Transfer Rumour Yang Min-hyeok

He will be a good rotation option for us. I can’t see him being a starter, but there’s definitely talent in there to be unlocked. Defensively he’s a bit suspect atm and overplays in our own half but those are probably habits that can be coached out of him.
  4. Mucca Mad Boys

    Our Weakest Position

Pretty superficial analysis. We’ve conceded more without him, I don’t think his influence directly influences that. Your point was that Haji would benefit from playing with BTA specifically, Haji has had plenty of chances to score with and without BTA in the team so the problem here is that the...

    Our Weakest Position

Chalk and cheese. Esse does everything quicker than Sakamoto, there’s plenty more to come from Esse but some of this touches were top drawer stuff. He also had Lati playing behind him rather than MVE too, no disrespect to Lati but he’s nowhere near the attacking threat of MVE. Lati did impress...
  6. Mucca Mad Boys

    Our Weakest Position

100% - anyone watching today will have seen Esse is a much better player.

    Our Weakest Position

Sakamoto hasn’t had a goal contribution since Halloween either and yet no one is stating that he’s not contributing. People still talk as if he’s undroppable and a top player. Rudoni’s first assist of the season came v Birmingham and tbf, Torp has had 3 assists since his last goal (WBA). When...
  8. Mucca Mad Boys

    Our Weakest Position

Haji Wright should have scored comfortably 5 goals since he returned to the starting 11. BTA not playing has not stopped Haji Wright missing several good chances. He is just having a bad season and in the middle of an incredibly bad run of missing high xG chances. I’m not sure I agree it’s our...
  9. Mucca Mad Boys

    Our Weakest Position

Simms has scored most games he’s started… Meanwhile, Sakamoto hasn’t scored since Halloween, Rudoni since QPR and Torp since October 18th. Our main goal scorers of late have been Simms, EMC and Eccles. Haji has had his goal scoring issues, but to put it all on his shoulders is unfair.

    Transfer Rumour Yang Min-hyeok

No idea, I just seen it on social media. He was wearing a black tracksuit iirc. On a side note, for anyone interested, the Japanese restaurant is also good.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

If you’ve listened to anything Dominic Cummings has had to say, you’d understand the jist of the argument. This something corroborated with Blair’s chief of staff and Starmer has agreed with the analysis so this is past partisan politics. The same barriers the Tories and Labour have had or are...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

How good is Harrison Reed? He seems a bit like a jack of all trades like Allen, albeit at a much higher level. Has played DM, CM and AM at Fulham over the years.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This one is a two part series. It is a soft touch interview to be fair because Cummings worked with Gove in the DoE.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The OBR is one of many unelected quangos that is steering government policy. Just out of curiosity, have you actually listened to what Cummings has had to say on the topic? One podcast pretty much sums up his views because he rams home the same points. It’s easy to dismiss him as being...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The OBR on the economy, for example. I’m sure we’d both agree that it should be scrapped. The same ‘politically impartial’ civil servants that have said they’d resign if Reform were in government. If you believe Cummings and people like Lord Frost, they froze the civil service out of Brexit...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Respectfully disagree. In my view, we’re at a juncture where the Blairite consensus is on its very last legs and Reform and the Greens are the chief beneficiaries of that because they’re trying to articulate an alternative route for the country. Clement Attlee opposed joining the EC because it...

    Transfer Rumour Yang Min-hyeok

Yang Min-Hyeok was in Jinseon last night which is a great Korean restaurant! 100% recommend it so anyone going out to a new restaurant!
  18. Mucca Mad Boys

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I genuinely believe that Starmer and the Labour Party thought they’d swan into government and everything will just get better. So did much of the commentariat with the ‘the adults are back in charge’ sentiment that proved to be plainly wrong. The Tories deserved to be thrashed and so do Labour...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

No, the anger has been building up for years. To some extent, Labour is a victim of circumstances but their policy program hugely unpopular. Several friends and family who voted Labour and the only person who doesn’t regret is a Labour Member.

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 10th Jan

If their parent clubs felt that strongly about it, they wouldn’t have approved the deals so quickly. More importantly, we also need to integrate the players into the team so why not throw them into a low importance game?
