Match Thread Coventry v West Ham Match Thread - Tuesday 30th Aug

That's the problem. They're allowed to play a load of over age players so when, for example, Norwich get a sniff of a Wembley final why wouldn't they stack the team up. If the point of it is they have kids that need games make them play kids. Saying that given the age of our side what...

Sounds like the third is someone out of contract as he said it might not happen until after the window closes.

Which part of the rules would be a problem?

    If no ground agreement

The FL can use their discretion. SISU can claim they had nowhere in the city to play and the FL forced them out of business. It's not like SISU need much chance of winning to go to court. The FL in the past have stated they have no money to fight a court case as the reason they don't do more...

    If no ground agreement

One thing nobody seems to be accounting for is the likelihood of legal action by SISU against the FL if they kick us out. The FL will be desperate to avoid that so are likely to agree to pretty much anything.

    The Wheatsheaf

It always used to be the case that unless you went looking for trouble you were generally OK. Isn't like that anymore, only have to look at someone the wrong way and it can all kick off. People complain that nobody jumps in to help these days but its one thing to jump in when its blokes using...

Any idea what sort of standard their team will be? Is this a match we should be winning or is it going to be a repeat of the Norwich game?

    The Wheatsheaf

Not very impressed with the statement from their trust I know its innocent until proven guilty but there's been seven people, all from Northampton, arrested and one of our supporters has ended up in hospital.

    U18/U21 Development Thread

If Alan Higgs or Derek Higgs were still alive there is no way Wasps would have got into the Higgs Centre or get the Higgs share of ACL.

    If no ground agreement

I asked why they would want to buy us and you mentioned £500K a year so I'm not sure how you then work out it is me suggesting they would charge us an excessive rent.

    If no ground agreement

If you actually read it I wasn't the one making the supposition.

    If no ground agreement

So to be clear Wasps are lying when they state what an insignificance we are and you want them to take us over so they can whack the rent up shrinking our budget but making money for them.
  19. chiefdave

    The way forward

Why would Wasps want the football club? They repeatedly state we are an insignificance financially and they certainly aren't going to pump money into the club.
  20. chiefdave

    If no ground agreement

Why? If Wasps don't need us here and we're making little difference to their finances why do they need to hike the rent up?
