True, but the wage budget for the season just gone was £2m which put us in the upper quartile of L1 clubs when compared to the FLs benchmarking. If we're gonna sell more STs this year (non-scientifically judging by the TM factor when he signed) surely we're still going to be in that upper...

Yep, could take that approach. It would hopefully have more of a 'team' ethic about it. A bit riskier as we'd likely sign more 'dregs' though to make up the numbers?

All logical and makes sense. It's a shame that that's the way football is nowadays and we don't in essence, get a full pre-season with a full squad, instead having some coming in 4 weeks into the pre-season. Hey ho, the same for all I suspose (unless bankrolled by those with more money than sense).

It's ok granddad...the music would be aimed at the nippers, not old folk like you and I! Just another gimmick to get the youth of today/supporters of tomorrow up to the ground. Bolt on something else they're in to.

I only saw him once. Against Crewe. What an amazing day that turned out to be. I've said on here in the past that I don't see TM as the saviour that many do. That said, if he can take what in essence are poor players and work some magic over a full preseason, then good on him. Jurys out for me...

Just had one of those alert things coming up on my phone. Reported in the CT apparently but can't see it yet. TM says he can be a 20 goal a season striker and has 2 or 3 conversations with him.
