    Mean while back in court

John Mutton said it in an interview on CWR during his time as council leader. As well as openly stating the council had a not for sale policy regarding their 50% share in ACL.

Off the top of my head Brentford, Crawley and Barnet are all smaller. Sure there's more.

    Derby sack Clement

In the position they are in have they already got someone lined up to takeover? Seems a very odd decision if they haven't got someone they feel is better ready to move in.

That would imply the saving is offset by employee costs, not the case if it just a change of location for an existing employee.

40% of what, revenue or profit? As I said this is commercial revenue so a net figure is required for FFP. Therefore what you need to compare is the net figure from the Gallagher store compared to the amount the club receive from Just Sports. I would suggest those two figures will not be too far...

Have they really taken on additional staff or just moved the ticketing operation from Lockhurst Lane to make it more accessible?

Shop income would be classed under commercial income so would be net anyway. Given that Just Sports will have lower costs than if we ran it ourselves chances are there is very little difference. In fact the ability of Just Sports to provide a better range of stock may even increase the net figure.

In a nutshell CCC had a deal with the then editor at the CT to suppress the ACL bailout story. Since then Simon has disappeared. He made a social media post about a CCC councillor who died saying he was a good friend. The suggestion is being made that as a friend the CT have not run an...

The Arena Shopping Park is owned by Tesco, although I believe Aviva took a stake a few years back, and managed by GVA Grimley. The shop itself is leased from BWD Retail. The shop is operated by Just Sports. I have no idea what the deal is between Just Sports an CCFC although several clubs have...

Would you not need to know the details before concluding it is a bad deal? This sort of deal seems increasingly popular so there must be a decent upside to it.

Maybe he's talking about Rangers and their brilliant deal with sports direct where they get 75p from every £10 of revenue.

How much of a better deal is it in reality? If you factor in the extra matchday costs, the loss of office, club shop and ticket office how much better off are we?

That's not a bad shout actually. Although you'd probably want police rather than stewards. With facial recognition technology improvements how long before its in use to stop those with bans coming back in.

Except what you've described happens fairly regularly in business. Fitness First are a recent example that spring to mind. Business model was flawed and couldn't compete with the lo-cost 24 hour gyms. Told their landlord they couldn't afford to pay and needed to be released from the lease on...
