Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Friday 29th Dec

Cheers for detail lads. So this quashes any of the ‘it’s not possible’ comments from anyone involved. I don’t know if it’s because of our slow decline since moving into the Arena that the SAG think that the south stand is solely for away fans and we would always be giving away teams 5-6K...

Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Friday 29th Dec

they managed to do it for a 2000 allocation for Boro in the PO semi, can anyone sat in the south stand for that game comment on what the concourse situation was?

Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Friday 29th Dec

I really don’t understand why it has been so difficult for any of the custodians of the Arena to implement adjustable roller banners. Based on the clubs statements, it doesn’t read like the south stand was designed to be used for split supporters.

Next 5 games (- FA cup game)

    Win - Sheffield Weds (H) - 26/12/23 Draw - Swansea (H) - 29/12/23 Win - Middlesbrough (A) - 1/1/24 Lose - Leicester (H) - 13/1/23 Win - Sheffield Weds (A) - 20/1/23 I don’t think I’ve seen us beat Swansea in the league in my lifetime, so really can’t see that as a win but if we beat Swansea a...

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 23rd Dec

The result today tops off very good points against Southampton and Leeds. After the Brum game, I think a lot of us would have taken 5 points from 9, two away, from Sunderland, Leeds and Southampton. Personally I’m feeling a lot more positive than 4-6 weeks ago. Enjoy your Christmas all, PUSB

O'Hare is a Burden on the Team

That’s probably a fair comment; or end product in general. Let’s get him signed up quickly.

O'Hare is a Burden on the Team

COH’s offered some much needed creativity in the centre of the pitch and he’s now making the right decisions in the final third. He definitely looks better for extra gym work and he’s moving with intent.

Doug , how about some free coaches for Sunderland ?

Doug’s that tight, he only cries from one eye

This team will be better than the 22/23 team

In its current format, no it won’t be better. You’ve left yourself the helpful caveat of ‘if we signed 2/3 players’ but unless those players are Gyokeres and Hamer, we won’t be better, now or in the next season.

This team will be better than the 22/23 team

I think we needed to add more in the summer and already have a Hamer replacement in the wings. So we need a centre forward that can score and a box to box midfielder - so just the spine of the team then effectively Gyokeres and Hamer piss all over anything in the current squad. Still massive...

This team will be better than the 22/23 team

With 2 or 3 players…. like saying Gemma Collins would be really fit if she lost 9 stone.

Match Thread Coventry City - Birmingham City Match Thread - Friday 8th Dec

Great thread, just disappointed it doesn’t feature the annual post about well known Zulus coming to ‘spoil the party’ and ‘work colleagues have said they’ll be trouble’….

    Limited Edition Hummel CCFC Trainers

I wear Nike AM1’s a lot more now but you can’t beat a pair of gazelles for comfort and versatility. You can pick good colour ways up for £40-50 mark in sales too. I tend to avoid the lighter colours as they get trashed easily. These two are two of my favourites for matchdays (I know one is a...

Dave Boddy leaving in January - John Taylor in!

I think you’ll find that was by our wonderful head of recruitment, Dean Austin, who has been as much use as Russel Slade’s hairdryer. I’m sure Doug King is busy prancing around his office to his silly song, thinking of a way to charge £30 for Oxford at home tickets, but as soon as he’s done...

Dave Boddy leaving in January - John Taylor in!

Wow. Had big doubts about Dave Boddy when he arrived but he’s done fantastic for this club - to give Robins and Adi the platform and support to take us close to the PL from the depths of League 2. We have had countless external issues and DB has helped guide us through. Thank you for everything...

    Leeds away - £45

That’s the problem with people saying boycott - we all know there will be someone with the cash prepared to take our spot. The cheapest adult ticket I could see for the playoff final was £67 all in and I only remember sob stories for tickets, not regarding the pricing. This is only £20 less and...

    FA cup draw

European Cups have been more important in every decade, including the 80s. Being Champions of Europe is far superior to being FA Cup Winners because of an own goal.

    FA cup draw

The European Cup has always been bigger than the FA Cup and always will be. You had to win the league back then to enter the European Cup proper. Suggesting the FA Cup was bigger than the European cup is just pandering like the wrinkly old leeches that ring in CWR. The European Cup is the top...

    FA cup draw

Because the FA Cup in 2023 isn’t known for having games on Friday night, Saturday lunch and Sunday lunch. I remember Arsenal away in the cup 2013 and the bitching about it being a Friday night game, here we are 10 years later and it’s still the same.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

Data is great when you remove the context; have you seen how many big chances European Champions Man City make per game? Now compare that to Championship Coventry City where we don’t make 15 chances a game and still miss Hamer. We can’t afford a striker that needs 5 chances to score one goal...
