Not to downplay his stats, but it’s a slightly misleading picture as Jordan James ran off him a fair few times in the first half. I do agree with MMB, though, it was tactical rather than down to his errors.

Very similar point to the one I’ve made in respect of cricket’s ’umpires call’ margin. They know the tech isn’t exact so have left power with the official. Football continually pretends it’s an exact science. Make the lines a certain thickness, if when you put them on a screen they’re touching...

How much of that is down to not wanting to be there though? If there was chance to come back here and get back up to the PL I’d imagine motivation would change. Don’t think it’ll happen, mind.
