Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think you’re well off and the majority of people who follow election data seem to think the same. By elections and locals are not the same as GEs. I wouldn’t be panicking any more today if I were Labour strategists than I was last week. This kind of swing happens in a by election once a...

Oh that. Not sure swing is the word in a four way tie, but government is unpopular and only lost by six votes. Most to Labour voters not turning out it seems. It’s really not that bad. I’d fully expect that seat to be Labour and Labour to win the next GE based on what we’ve seen so far.

Local elections run on a different timetable. The councils elected today were last elected in 2021 when the Tories were still riding high post pandemic.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s not anything for Labour. They had barely any elections. Runcorn was a close loss that looks like it would swing back at a GE. I know everyone wants to talk about Labour all the time but this is a Conservative collapse. Labours collapse would be the next set.

You know what I mean it’s during their term, not a GE. Protest votes are common. We’ve been seeing this for a decade now.

Well wake up then BSB. The call is coming from inside the house. We’ve literally seen where this kind of sulking gets the left.

Its a by election you loon. Governments lose by elections mid term. I expected worse than the bum squeaker. Ever council hasn’t seen major Labour losses because Labour aren’t up in most. The last set of these elections was mostly Tory seats.

I was going to express my surprise that you think any of Nigel Farages vehicles are unique from the last one. But we know what sort of nonsense you believe so you probably do. Hope you’ve got your cash saved for NigeCoin!

You’ll be happy with the Runcorn result I imagine. Green voters doing what they do best and electing fascists. Going for the US 2024 strategy I see. A bold move Cotton.

Jesus just as we’d got over the Corbynites who don’t understand the electoral system we get the Reformists. My kingdom for voters who listened in PSHE.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Labour aren’t really up for this one it’s mostly Tory seats. I’d have expected them to win by more than six votes in Runcorn if they expect to hold at a GE. Seem all fart and no poo again but we’ll see.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Nah. There’s a reason people are Tories still. All the green and Lib Dem votes come to Labour too. Based on what we’ve seen so far Labour would win a GE tomorrow.
