If you've got a young manager and an experienced DoF it can work, obviously as long as they get on. With the high turnover of managers I wouldn't be supposed to see more clubs adopt the model of American sports. Have a DoF or GM who signs players, managers, coaches and a head coach who is...

    Sunday night drinkypoos

Don't know if the rules have changed but it used to be that it had to be in your contract of employment so existing staff would need to agree to a new contract. You also had to give permission for every taste although refusing to take a test could be a disciplinary matter. Are you in a union...

    Police today

Closest I've come to being in the police was being in an ID parade. Was walking past Little Park St station when I was about 16 and got stopped and asked if I'd do it and I'd get paid! Assumed it would be behind a one way mirror like you see on the TV. Wasn't anything like that. There was 5 or...

But even if you're doing random testing, which would require employees agreement, a failed test doesn't allow you to dismiss someone unless you can prove it is a safety issue or they are unable to perform their duties.

Have you put in a request for the footage yet Lurker? If not this gives you all the info you need https://www.gov.uk/request-cctv-footage-of-yourself You should pursue a complaint yourself. Get on to the CT and CWR as well, get a group of people who were in the pub together and take action...

    Rickie Lambert

Going to Liverpool was a mistake, although probably did well financially. Surprised he's only had 5 starts for West Brom though. He might not cut it in the PL but I can't imagine him struggling at this level.

    Bradford Match Thread

Hopefully one of their players will headbutt someone early on and then we might have a chance! Would like to think we could build on Saturdays result but I suspect the best we can hope for is a draw. Armstrong has to get a goal soon doesn't he?

    Camcorders

I see a lot of people shooting live shows and music videos with DSLR or bridge camera's these days and they get great results. People on pro shoots make use of GoPro as well. Think they start from about £100. Even something like iPhone can shoot pretty decent video these days...

    Leicester

Just had a look and it says he has been a PL ref since 2011 and did the FA Cup final last year so they can't think he's doing that bad of a job. Given that its a Leicester v West Ham game and not Man Utd, Chelsea etc it will probably be ignored.

    Motd2

We were on MOTD2 tonight as one of only 13 clubs (now 14 with Villa) relegated from the PL who have never returned. There's been 47 clubs in total and only 6 have never been relegated: Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

    Leicester

To me things like this could be sorted easily. Start at the top, every PL game is televised so can be reviewed. Have every match reviewed by a different ref and if they see a dive its an automatic suspension. Same with pushing and shoving, tell the teams at the start of the season to cut it...

    Rickie Lambert

Can't see us being able to get close to what he'd want in wages. Would be happy to have him here though.

    Leicester

Players are creating their own problem here. If there wasn't so much pushing and shoving in the penalty area and people diving around then they could blame the ref but the way they carry on its no surprise some mistakes are made.

    Sunday night drinkypoos

Did they just get the sack straight away? They would win an unfair dismissal case if they did. You can't sack someone even if they turn up pissed, you have to try and help them stop drinking and follow an established disciplinary procedure. You also can't introduce testing unless the employees...

I get the drugs bit but are they saying you can't drink at the weekend or that you can't turn up pissed?

Finishes 2-2, penalty in the 4th minute of injury time! Huge game for Spurs away at Stoke tomorrow night.

    Leicester

Surely they aren't going to blow it? They were 1-0 up at home to West Ham which put them 10 points clear with 4 games left. West Ham have scored in the 84th and 86th minutes to go 2-1 up. Now into injury time. And Vardy has been sent off and will now get a suspension. Tottenham 7 points...

    Travellers everywhere!

Been doing a bit of reading about this. The problem is not that they are allowed to do it but that the existing laws aren't enforced. The two issues seem to be that it is civil and not criminal. That could easily be changed. The other problem is the landowner is within their rights to forcibly...
