But I was a child with heavy influence from the mainstream on how to identify. I feel short changed now based on your critique on the power of Sam Smiths influence on children.

    What’s it all about?

How did I survive the 70’s and come out the other side as someone who still identifies white heterosexual male after being born a white heterosexual male? Dick Emery, Les Dawson, Roy Baraclough, Alec Guinness regularly identifying as a woman in the constant stream of black and white movies...

    What’s it all about?

All this talk of Nazis. Maybe my memory differs from other peoples but wasn’t the Nazis scared of minorities (including non heterosexuals) and targeted/persecuted them as the problem. They even went as far as persecuting people with the wrong shaped nose because of the stereotypes they held of...

You mean you must have mental health issues if you think people using their freedoms to identify as a pronoun or be transgender is an issue?

    What’s it all about?

I couldn’t care one way or the other about Costa using the image on one whole van at a pride event. I do take issue with the Mail weaponising it and having now read the article now I also take issue with them conflating it with breastfeeding in public spaces.

    What’s it all about?

Just checked. There’s 4.5 million vans registered in the UK and one van in the country had this image on specially for one event and that was enough to trigger the Mail to get the crayons out and write this nonsense. Gets better.

Ha ha ha. Pronoun Nazis. Good one. What people? Apart from Mail readers and GB news viewers. Most people couldn’t give a shiny one, and me way or the other.

    What’s it all about?

The only reason I knew about it was because someone linked the Mail article on here otherwise I’d have been non the wiser. I dare say that’s the same for the majority of non Mail readers. Seems to me this is only an “issue” because outlets like the Mail are making it an issue. Trans people...

In the Mails case it’s because they’re massive snowflakes who think that anything that isn’t 1950’s Britain is scary.

In what was a safe Tory seat. Although I’d agree that Labours reaction to it was stupid. They should have doubled down. I think come the GE all the excitement around the ULEZ extension will have died down when as people realise it actually doesn’t effect them. Still not convinced it will turn at...

Going by the media rounds this morning it’s falling flat. He’s just had a hissy fit on the radio because the interviewer dared to ask if he was flying up to Scotland in a private jet to make his big environmental announcement.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Was reading an article about light railways and it’s the same in the UK. We’re paying more per km for light railways too, anywhere between £50-75M per km. we only have 9 in the whole of the UK, way below the European average. But then again we’ve invested about 40% less over the last 75 years in...

The way it was sold too. It was sold as this exciting fast way to get to London that would be the envy of the world isn’t Britain great. The free capacity on existing lines is actually the best reason for building it and I think if they’d sold it on that basis in the first place it would be seen...
