If he scores 20, it will be 'well another striker would have got 30'.

    this summer's cricket

Yup. It's the childishness of it I think isn't it. If that were me I'd be trying to get him out.

Yeah, don't mind him. Don't think we should give these Scots too many programmes fronting things, mind.

No, it doesn't. Doesn't automatically make him crap though. Think he has a part to play, but not sure he should be leading the line and most certainly not as the lone striker. Not suited at all I don't think. It worked well as a tandem with him an McNumpty, the TWO of them.

    Ernie tribute

Three memories of Ernie Hunt. 1. The donkey kick. 2. A ball going up into the sky and coming down with ice on it and him trapping the ball stone dead. Literally not a fraction of movement. Stone dead. 3. Chipping Mellor (Burnley keeper) from the half way line. Has to be one of the greatest...

    Songs you hate

I think London Calling is a great album. Looking back, I can't recall a punk band I didn't like at the time. I was a fan of the Pistols, Clash, Stranglers, Siouxie, Buzzcocks, Ramones, X Ray Spex, 999, Undertones, Generation X, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, Ruts, Damned .... sorry if I have...

    this summer's cricket

Just not cricket! Player on 98. 2 runs and it is his maiden century. 2 more runs to win. Bowler then seemingly bowls extras directly to the boundary on purpose, rather than bowl a playable ball, thus losing the game for his team, but denying the batsman his century. Hmmm.... Just not...

    Ernie tribute

I know this is all very sad, but one positive from these deaths (if there can at all be one) is that for many ex footballers who played in the late 60's and then 70's onwards, there will be footage to be shown for future generations to come. Such a shame we never got to see the likes of...

    Songs you hate

Yep, same here. Just heard it too many times now. Any song that is overplayed can become an irritation I find, even songs you really love. I do love Imagine by John Lennon, but have just heard it too many times now, so it loses all potency and impact. Wish they would play 'Woman is the...

Yeah, but think this is more to do with stuff really getting on your nerves. It is for me anyway. Sometimes certain songs just irritate you like hell.

    Brandon Mason

Was saying the same thing yesterday. Could well be Chelsea expect him to feature as much as possible. I can see Grimmer at right back and Sterling further forwards too.

Yes, from corners and set pieces we did look very vulnerable. Thought Scunthorpe were excellent with their set plays.

    Transfer Rumour Kasper Larsen

Yeah, we should have dropped Murphy and brought in Raheem Sterling in instead. ;)

    Death of the high street

Same with McDonald's. Any negative story on their practices or environmental impact or quality of their product is just met with a 'well it's cheap and I like it' attitude. People are very two faced. Happy to jump all over something that doesn't affect them personally, but have no moral compass...
