Selling our newly appointed club captain at this stage, particularly with our lack of cover, would confirm that SISU have no plan beyond finding enough cash to see them through the next short term crisis. On the other hand, telling Leeds to shove their offer would give us all reason to hope...

Why does it have no legal basis? I've been involved in the sale and purchase of many companies and I can't remember a single occasion where "the bid" was made in a formal way until a price had been agreed in principle.
