    The Edje....

No idea what standard that is. He wasn't terrible but not what we need now I don't think, not if we're mounting a serious promotion push. Guess he could be a backup if the wages are low.

At the moment its just people throwing ideas out. Hopefully the Trust will put forward more solid plans everyone can get behind.

Bigi got married to a local girl this week. Lots of our current / former players there judging from social media. Where has Edge been playing?

Also noticed covrugby's only like comes from a user who has just started posting again having not posted since 2013. All of his posts are negative towards the club. Must be a coincidence.

Pretty sure members of this forum have been to games since it was suggested on here.

Is this the only website you check on a regular basis despite having no interest in the subject matter just on the off chance that CRFC have been mentioned?

You could probably build an indoor pitch if you used the spare land and knocked down what used to be the indoor cricket centre (what is that actually used for now?). But you'd only have two outdoor pitches. How close would that get us to Cat 2 requirements? Would certainly be nice to have...

I'm struggling to imagine any uproar if a few thousand CRFC fans turned up to one of our games. If you look back to posts from when Wasps first arrived you will find many people expressing concern for CRFC and suggesting people, even those who don't like rugby, think about attending a game.

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

There was still a considerable debt to pay down. The Ricoh was struggling to break even without the club paying £1.3m a year in rent, so if as is being suggested the club had purchased Higgs share leading to a reduction in rent that would weaken the Ricoh's financial position.

Would you not normally expect when someone makes you an offer for them to actually tell you what the offer is?

But that isn't the option. The academy makes a profit, if you lose the academy you don't have more money to put into the first team you have less. And you also have a big hole to fill in the squad in the likely event that you don't have as many players coming through at the required level. If...

    Could those attending Wasps games...

Personally I would have a lot of thinking to do before attending anything other than our matches at the Ricoh. Although the reality is if you go to a gig there and don't buy any beer you're not giving any revenue to ACL. The hire fee will be fixed and the only thing they will receive on top of...

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

So how much have Higgs received out of that 50% stake? Zero. ACL was, and still is, in debt. It was also struggling to break even. No dividends were ever paid out and there was little prospect of that changing.

    Sisu bullying back-firing?

Lets work it through. CCFC buy Higgs 50%. So ACL is now owned 50% by CCC and 50% by CCFC. CCFC have a long term lease in place at £1.3m p.a. CCFC approach ACL and say we want to renegotiate to a lower rent and more revenue access. CCC are against this, how does CCFC owning 50% give them any...

There can't be many coming from that far away. There won't be that many pre-move Wasps fans in the area so we're looking at the 'just want to watch rugby' crowd. Past Hinckley / Nuneaton you're closer to Leicester Tigers, past Solihull you're closer to Worcester and past Rugby / Leamington...

But it generates far more than £600K in player sales. Not to mention a good chunk of our squad are academy graduates. Lose our status and it will be harder to recruit players.
