Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

No its people who roll over and let Wasps do whatever they like that will finish the club. Its very simple, Wasps and CSF know what they will or will not offer the club. The club don't know. Simply put that in writing and we all know where we stand. What's the point of having meetings and...

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

I can only think of one reason they don't want to put any offer in writing and that's the offer not allowing the level of facilities required to continue the academy.

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

What is there to discuss? We need to know what is on offer, once we have then its the time to talk. Why on earth would Wasps and CSF refuse to let the club know what their offer actually is?

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

The first thing that needs to happen now is that we need someone to get full details of what Wasps and CSF will offer us. They can give it to the club or via the trust or telegraph but until they are prepared to make that known its hard to see how anything can move forward. There's little point...

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

If the offer is there putting it in writing so the club has all the details at hand won't be a problem.

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

Or thinking about it why don't the Telegraph get on to Wasps and CSF and ask them for full details of what is being offered. Lets get all the cards out on the table.

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

Exactly. Wasps PR must be the easiest job in the world. All you need to do is say but SISU and everyone is up in arms and no longer looking at the important issue.

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

If there's room at Higgs for both why would we need to use Ryton or Warwick Uni? Agree with this. Lets get full details from Wasps and CSF of exactly what they can and will offer so that we know where we stand. Maybe, if Wasps and CSF want someone to chat to, they could meet with the Trust, the...

Maybe Simon will make a comment on the CT's deal with CCC to suppress stories.

Tend to agree with that. He's not a CCFC supporter and he doesn't work for CCFC, why would he be getting involved and making stuff up? The picture he is painting is a campaign of others working against the best interests of the football club.

    A sad state of affairs...

Hopefully someone from local media will be asking the question of Wasps. Would be interesting to hear why they had to pick Higgs out of the 17 possible locations identified.

    Ryton ?

Didn't Fisher have a conversation with the council about moving everything to one location and got told they wouldn't grant planning permission at Ryton which affected the value of the land.

Isn't that what ECRIS is for? How on earth have you got from what I posted to me me being OK with people being murdered as long as I don't know them?

    Legal action

What do you mean? There's only 2 scenarios isn't there? 1) a convicted murderer wants to enter the UK, there is a means to stop that or 2) a non-UK EU citizen commits a murder here, that would have to be dealt with under the law of the country in which the offence took place.
  18. chiefdave

    Legal action

It has to work like that, and it works like that for non-EU countries as well. You can't put someone on trial in, for example, the US for a crime committed in the UK just because they're american. Which countries law would you apply?

    Legal action

Why not? Wouldn't the country in question just issue a European arrest warrant? Its not true to say we can't stop convicted criminals entering the country either. The citizenship directive maintains that free movement can be restricted for public policy, public security or public health reasons.

Haven't read it cover to cover but a quick flick through he requirements would suggest that if Wasps get the go ahead for their plans it won't be possible to maintain a Cat 2 academy at Higgs. Not unless there is a chunk of unused land owned by Higgs that can be developed but if that was the...
