Don’t actually mind this but would insist on Grimes over Allen and moving Sheaf onto the left hand side. Sakamoto missing out is unfortunate but he struggles in a wingback position.

I think it’s more than there a different roles for a CF. Playing as a target man who is to occupy space and bring people in isn’t the same as how Wright would want to play imo

Just to add, with him occupying space and CBs it means people become unmarked like yesterday as per the post or Rudoni at Oxford

From what I heard from the Preston camp they thought they couldn’t handle Simms that game, so much so Gibson went off so Lindsay could try. He might not always be scoring but his work off the ball and his work to bring people into the play is terrific atm

Think EMC should be fine for Tuesday (think this was said on the CWR) and unsure on Milan as seemed fine at full time

Hopefully teething problems with the new formation what can get worked out or next time we bring on a CB and go back to the 5-3-2 when we are winning games

I disagree I think we’ve controlled games decently well outside the last two and Wednesday and got what we deserved. Not saying it’s perfect as feel the loss of one centre back has made us less comfortable but football is a game of opinions. Let’s just enjoy the run can’t last forever

With respect in this league you don’t win 9 in ten without being decent. In regards to luck, we didn’t get a clear stonewall penalty and an offside equaliser was allowed. Seems to me luck was against us today and we made our own

Saka looked to hold more width today which meant MVE played more inwards, which did good for both of them. Good to see MVE celebrating with Bobby at the end, hopefully able to go for Derby
