Problem is you’ve got Rudi and Haji in free ish roles and no one securing the centre so all our play goes out wide and makes us predictable because no one want to play centrally in the final third.
I don’t think there’s any evidence Robins wanted him. It wasn’t until he’d gone that man whose name I’ve already forgotten started him regularly. He didn’t even make the bench in Robins final game.
He’s made it this far with PL coaches and is impervious to improvement. I’m not sure we can fix it. I’d shave his head just to see what happens. Do it while he’s asleep (or about the 30th minute of a game).
I do wonder with both our wingers how their special move being chopping back two or three times makes it a lot harder for strikers to time their runs as they never know when it’s coming in and the fact neither are great crossers means you never know where it’s coming either really. Saka probably...
