I have told you that it is a statutory obligation for them to do so.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

In reality any sensible contract has an indexation clause or an agreed rate of increase over its term, otherwise if you are awarding a five year contract you will pay year five prices in year one. A local authority say in a long term contract for the provision of services to the public isn't...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Next time I receive a request from a private supplier for an inflationary increase to their contract, I'll tell them that no, that's a terrible way to do business.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The first council to file a section 114 notice (i.e. the council version of bankruptcy) was Northamptonshire County Council in 2018. It had been under the control of the Conservative party since 2005. Councils, unlike a private business, are required to deliver statutory services through their...

    Championship thread 25/26!

TBF to Sky they show extensive live games and highlights from the EFL. The worst TV broadcasters for being dismissive about the Championship are the alleged public service broadcasters at the BBC, who are utterly obsessed with the PL and in particular the top 5.

    Sakamoto

Hats off to him, he's improved his output like he needed to do. I think some of the improvement is tactical too. He wouldn't have scored or even been in the position to score Friday night's goal.

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 8th Nov

They're better away from home than at home so far this season. I assume they play a fairly counter attacking style.

    Sam McCallum

McCallum was a permanent player first here and then a loan player, loaned back when we sold him to Norwich. He probably feels a debt of gratitude to a club that picked him up from Level 7 of the pyramid.

I don't buy the "stood by" a player who was injured. Any normal employer would be expected to stand by an employee injured solely in the course of their employment.

    callum o hare

I wouldn't blame him. The fans bizarrely boo him despite him being a player who gave his all here, and made his free choice to move when his contract expired. I'd celebrate as well in the circumstances.
