Don't think it would technically but if you got on to the management of the centre and complained you got a ticket while you were in there shopping you might get somewhere. What do they do if someone is genuinely in there shopping for more than 2 hours?

Because they want to maximise season ticket sales. They use a similar strategy at music festivals, every year they put 3 day tickets on sale and say they don't know if there will be one day tickets. Every year they sell one day tickets.
