Judging by the comments under the article its worked. Doesn't seem like any of them have actually read the article. Just seen the headline and jumped straight in to the comments to complain.
So you were talking about players moving under the Bosman ruling, not sure what relevance that has to hiring a training facility. Wouldn't that work the same way in football as it does in every other walk of life?
My take is that Higgs attitude towards the football club, indeed the whole sporting side of the charity, changed considerably when Derek Higgs died unexpectedly.
More excited as usual as I'm back living in Cov so I've got a season ticket for the first time in years.
Will probably feel differently by 5pm on Saturday!
Completely agree with this. You would like to think it isn't true but the longer this goes on the clearer it becomes that its not tin foil hat territory. CCC were involved in another court case recently that had some striking similarities to our situation.
That's the key, are other applicants...
It wasn't CCFC who wouldn't commit long term
And since seeking to make the deal long term the club offered to move the first team to Higgs as well as a show of commitment.
Would hope for 20 from at least one of our forwards. Not sure its cut and dried that Sordell will be the main forward, think that might still be up for grabs.
How much clarity do you need? Anderson told CSF they would move the first team to Higgs if it gave them the assurance they needed that the club would be there long term.
There is no new ground
See above
Depends on what happens at Higgs
No academy
Run at break even - past that the owners don't really care what happens
Was covered at the last SCG meeting
Here to help :)
What do you want the club to put in writing that they are refusing to? Anderson has but his request to CSF in writing, CSF confirmed that. He's also put it in writing in the objection this thread is referring to.
I knew people fell for Wasps PR but what has amazed me since moving back to Cov a few weeks ago is how many people have fallen for it and how they just recite things from Wasps press releases as fact.
A state of the art facility available for community use was talked about. Now it seems it is...
Tell them you'll pay their invoice when you receive the money they have reclaimed. Ask them for some evidence of what they have actually done. How are they going to be able to evidence they have claimed the £1500 if you've already claimed it?
