Walked up to the first turnstile I came to (not the one on my ST). Was a couple of people in front of me, scanned my card and went in.
Why were people getting turned away? I didn't speak to a single steward on the way in, nobody checked anything.
All sports should be amateur only. What's the point of having USA win the basketball every time? How important is the tennis compared to the grand slams? And don't forget the shambolic football rules regarding who can and can't play.
They keep saying 23 match season tickets will no longer be on sale. Why would you want to buy a 23 match season ticket when there's only 22 games to play?
Because they want to maximise season ticket sales.
They use a similar strategy at music festivals, every year they put 3 day tickets on sale and say they don't know if there will be one day tickets. Every year they sell one day tickets.
