Thinking on it, if we are playing torp and Rudoni, would it be better to go for a 4-3-3 and just allow Torp and Rudoni to play as 8s? Might force us to play more centrally at times like the Sunderland league match last year?

With the high line we play wouldn't that indicate he's sat in the back line the majority of the time. No issue with that as think the issue more comes from the other CM

Like I said if all you care about is playing the two of them that’s how you could try it. I don’t actually think we need O’Hare but we might either want to invest in a box to box midfielder who can pick defences apart or if we are not signing anyone tell Rudoni to stay more central

Who Rudoni and O Hare? If all you care about is those two, you could play the 3-4-2-1. Or as a silly proposal, play Rudoni on the right wing and just allow him to drift inside with a fullback keeping the widith

Think the point tho is Rudoni often drifts wide meaning there’s no one in the central space to create space for our strikers.

Opinion on Hughes goes back to how much money we have in the pot, wouldn’t want us to spend all of it on him (assuming good as he is imo) and not be able to look to improve our RW and ST

Yeah that’s true, to be honest thought the defence did well yesterday. Doubt we’ll get Hughes, so who would you want in for a CB. Could look at the Stockport Pyre as apparently available for £3 million
