    Gilbert's Book

If what was quoted the other day about the amount of money CCFC spent on the Ricoh project is any indication then it would seem not a lot of fact checking took place.

    Wasps finances 2016

Will be interesting to see the response from the local media and those who would jump all over SISU for badly mismanaging the club if they posted similar accounts showing huge losses, management fees etc.

    Wasps finances 2016

Equally one underperforming event could cause issues. When we talk about losing our income we shouldn't just assume they can grab another event and it will automatically be successful.

    Wasps finances 2016

On face value doesn't seem great to me and certainly would lend weight to the argument that our fans should stay away from Wasps games to reduce their income. Of course I'm not an accountant, I might ask mine to take a look and see what he thinks. Given that they are claiming each individual...

For me it the fact that they took over and rebranded another club and then tried to take advantage of our situation by making out they were some sort of protest club. The money thing does bug me, although as you say if someone wanted to do a Man City with us I wouldn't be complaining. Wasn't...

No, I meant it didn't have a roof before, it does now. Not sure where you exchange your dollars into pounds but I think you might want to go elsewhere if that is an indication of the exchange rate you get.

Of course I'd be interested to know. I'd love to know what went on from pretty much the point the Robbins family parted with the company. Thing is I'm not sure what good it does us now. We're talking about things that happened over a decade ago involving companies that no longer exist.

    IS IT APRIL THE FIRST?

Don't we have this story every few years? While you would think nobody would be offended by a poppy some people are as they believe it glorifies war, hence the white poppy you sometimes see. I suspect from FIFA's point of view its more a case of if they allow this then are they opening the...

    wasps again

Didn't say it should have folded. Just saying its a bit odd that when the organisers are using phrases like 'overwhelmed' and 'flooded' in response to their request for volunteers the parade can only go ahead if Wasps pay 10 stewards. And even if that was correct my personal opinion is it...

    wasps again

So they asked for volunteers, say they were overwhelmed with the response yet Wasps are saving the parade by paying for 10 stewards. Doesn't quite add up as usual. Though with the money the stewards will be on its a cheap PR job for Wasps, just a shame that they see an event like this as a PR...

    Gareth Bales new contract

You can't blame the players taking what's on offer but that sort of money is ridiculous. When you look at the debts of clubs that go into administration or completely fold and then look at some players wages you can't help but think something has gone wrong.

    wasps again

So are Wasps providing, and paying, all the stewards for the parade or is the real story that a handful of people who happen to be stewards have volunteered their services?

How do they generate the money to pay players? The crowds are tiny and there can't be that much in sponsorship.

On the plus side my work PC doesn't go into meltdown if I go on there now. Problem now is the Wasps adverts take up even more of the page.

Yep, they spent a fair bit on a fancy partitioning system that can turn the stadium into pretty much any size room you want, they can also set it up so its not noticeable that you're in the stadium bowl.
