    Wave of optimism

I can't see any reason other than concern others would raise objections. Remember they stated CRFC were aware and had been consulted only for CRFC to say they hadn't. Maybe they didn't want to be seen to be selling the stadium while we were in Northampton. What else is there to be scared of...

    Wave of optimism

As I said CCFC ownership would be a best case scenario. At no point have I said a proper sale process would have definitely ended with the club owning the stadium. What I have said is that process taking place would potentially give a greater return to the taxpayer, at worst it would give the...

    Wave of optimism

No I'm saying that you can't say taxpayers approve of the deal on the basis of people not storming the council house to complain. Non-CCFC fans won't have looked in detail in the same way most of us would not look at the councils dealings that don't directly impact us, and most CCFC fans are...

    Investment on the Horizon?

It was down to the players TM was going after. What on earth he thought he would achieve going after players we clearly couldn't afford only he knows.

    Wave of optimism

How many people do you think have looked past the reports in the CT and actually looked in any detail at what has happened? CCFC fans would be the ones most likely to do that but it just needs someone to say something about SISU and everyone stops looking.

    Wave of optimism

In my opinion from a council perspective the deal was done in a manner that left it subject to as little scrutiny as possible. There doesn't really seem to be a commercial case for keeping things confidential from the council's side. I think that actually works much more in Wasps advantage...

Old article with small piece on SISU

FL have said before the fit and proper test is very difficult for them to enforce. Unless someone has been convicted of something they open themselves up to legal action. Would she even have to pass fit and proper? She runs the company that manages the funds that unvested in the club, would...

What offence was she convicted for, perjury presumably?

Its Walliams and Miranda Hart next week. That could well be the worst program the BBC have ever aired.

    Wave of optimism

For me it comes down to a couple of simple points: 1) CCC should not even have considered selling to a team from outside the city. That would apply in any circumstances but after they had taken every opportunity available to condemn CCFC for playing temporarily in Northampton you would expect...

    Wave of optimism

Whatever you think of the sale price of ACL or the subsequent valuation of the lease by Wasps you can't really doubt that a 250 year lease is worth more than a 50 year one. Makes the question of why it wasn't extended prior to the sale a valid one. Even more so when you consider the extension...

    Investment on the Horizon?

Any sale will be for a £ but unless the new owner is taking on the debt and committing to repaying in full that will have to be settled as part of the sale.

Wouldn't get auction off, the club would just cease to exist. They'd reshuffle by changing the various numbers of teams promoted and relegated. If a new club was started it would be well down the pyramid.

    Wave of optimism

That's the thing isn't it. As long as SISU have been talking about ground ownership we've been told CCFC is nothing to ACL, a small % of income and they could do fine without us. So we left and they kept insisting that ACL was still fine. Then they sold ACL at a knockdown price still claiming it...

    Police investigation

There will be a fine, possibly a suspended points deduction to try and prevent repeats. The police will no doubt go after at least a handful to 'make an example', they'll probably go after people from the naughty corner they already know but haven't been able to pin anything on in the past.
