What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

And how are you getting to the PL to get that money? Remember there's plenty of teams in the championship happy to chuck millions a season at a promotion push.

    Protest Tomorrow?

Don't particularly want it to be happy clappy but equally how often do we see fighting in the stands? Is it coincidence it happened at that game? And people wandering through the stands in groups and standing at the front with their hoods up and scarves covering their faces would surely unnerve...

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

I can't see that ever happening unless there's drastic changes to the way football runs in this country. The likes of Wimbledon and Portsmouth have the same problem. Wimbledon only broke even in their last accounts as they got Liverpool in the cup and it was televised. Pompey have by far the...

    Ben Stevenson - Brentford

Hadn't he already been sold for £800K to someone else last week? He's a good player but some of these kids need to realise that when they're so young a couple of years of regular first team football is better for them in the long term.

    "Big" Signing Rumour

The thing that first put peoples backs up was that when he used to post on here regularly any talk of the CT being in league with the council or Wasps and he'd make out it was tin foil hat territory. Of course later on at a council ethics hearing it turned out the CT had done a deal with CCC to...

    Protest Tomorrow?

Whatever is planned hopefully its for after the game or certainly not disrupting the game. With a new manager, potentially 3 new players out there and off the back of the first half decent result in months it would be nice to see everyone get behind the team for 90 mins. Have to say I didn't...

Lose the Gut Thread (Following on from New Year's Resolution)

Great effort. What did you start off doing. I seem to always make the same mistake, don't make my plans realistic. Start off well for a few weeks and then it all falls apart.

    Fisher Yesterday

I don't know why people find this concept so hard to understand. Think of it in terms of selling your house. You might not have your house on the market, therefore it is 'not for sale' but if someone knocked on the door and made you an offer you'd consider it and if their offer was acceptable to...

    "Big" Signing Rumour

I love how the CT blatantly click bait and then get all sulky if anyone calls them out on it.

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

In a word no. Its something I've mentioned many times, its all well and good saying SISU should walk on the assumption someone else will come in but other than a rehash of SISU's original plan (pump some money in and hope for promotion) what else could a new owner do? I can't see how we can...

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

In terms of where it was paid from some of it never really existed in a sense. There was debt from pre-SISU years that stayed on the books but SISU didn't pay out on it (if that makes sense). From what OSB has said the original investments from the SISU funds is likely to have been written down...

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

IMO £15m they'd rip your hand off, £10m would be given serious consideration.

    "Big" Signing Rumour

They've probably made it up so they can complain later on that it hasn't happened rather than be happy that we've already signed 3 players.

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

SISU came in December 2007. Losses to May 2004 were £8.2m, May 2005 was 0.9m, May 2006 was 3.3m and May 2007 was 4.3m according to this: Coventry City Football Club Ltd | The Political Economy of Football The accounts to 31st May 2005 have some interesting comments in them from Paul Fletcher

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

Depends if you're looking at it from a business perspective or a fan perspective. If SISU want us to break even they won't care if we have to sell someone just that the numbers add up at the end of the year. From our point of view we would want to be breaking even without the need to sell...

What were we losing ££££ wise every season when SISU arrived

£6m a year I think when they arrived. Now allegedly close to break even but that seems to involve selling a player every year.

The pies and pasty issue - the plot thickens

If that's the case then it has to be ACL no longer giving us the service. There's no other reason it would be stopped.

    Bang, Bang, Bang

This is much more like it. Realistic targets and get them lined up for when the window opens. Not scrapping around in the last few days. Lets just hope the rug doesn't get pulled from under him by selling someone at the last minute.

The pies and pasty issue - the plot thickens

What have they pre-paid for? The hot food not being served according to what the club have sent out is pies etc that are purchased on the day. The dining option for the boxes (which is an extra not included) is restaurant dining, has that been stopped as well?
