Remember Elliot was the one who wanted to close the academy. For all we know if Wasps are involved the plan could be to let SISU have Ryton, shut the academy, let Wasps pocket the naming rights and then we struggle on with Hoff and Joe running things.
That's why it is so important to know more...
Not at all, but if they are involved that is a very important detail. Given that they've stated they are a property development company with a rugby club on the side where do you think we would come on their list of priorities?
Let who speak? I'd love to hear some details but seeing as you're the only person who claims to know anything and you refuse to say and the people actually involved won't even admit their own involvement we have to go on what little information we have.
Has Hoffman typed x 30 on his calculator? Might have a chance if he has.
Do you reckon who ever posted that will financially guarantee those sales?
£250K for each promotion. So get to the PL and the total is £1.25m
I would say that for that £500K they are expecting the club debt free. Then with the add ons even if, by some miracle we got to the Prem, the total payment would only be £1.25m
£500K up front? He must know there is no way they are going to accept an offer like that.
Love how there was rumours about Hoff and the CT shut it down saying they'd spoken to him and it was all rubbish.
SISU would certainly sell to Hoffman, he was one of the people I was told was approached when they tried to offload the club about 18 months ago. The issue will be his valuation against theirs.
If you go back a few years you'll find plenty of people saying the same thing as a reason for people to give up their shares and pass control to SISU. People were convinced things couldn't get worse.
So really not anything new in the CT article. Until we know what the offer consists of its impossible to judge.
Isn't this a bit misleading? The sale price is one thing but how much did they pay to settle existing debt? Would expect any new takeover to follow the same form.
You said you don't know any of the details so how can you state as fact it would be better. For all we know they've looked at your beloved Wasps and decided that's a good way forward and will move us 90 miles away.
Its ridiculous to expect people to blindly support something when we've been...
Obviously the club will be sold for the proverbial £1, they key is what else is offered. We 'owe' SISU a fortune and they will know they are never getting that back and has most likely already been written down in their accounts but they won't walk for nothing.
I would guess we're looking at...
Senators for me. The time difference is a killer for watching games, especially at this time of the year with multiple overtimes.
Team GB are playing in the World Champs Div 1B next week, should have a good shot at winning.
