You can't tell from that angle. You had to be behind it right in line. It was a definite deflection. As I keep saying (but no-one's listening), I was right in line with it. Definitely veered slightly. :) You can see Chaplin immediately claiming it in the clip.

It's so annoying all round. Thomas shoots when you don't want him to shoot and is reluctant to shoot when he really should shoot. JCH, Chaplin and Hiwula have all been guilty of missing easy chances, or have hit shots that are far too close to the keeper.

To be fair to him yesterday though the pitch was a disgrace and the ball was bobbling. Hiwula and Bakayoko were struggling too to take the ball under control.
