The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

There's a report in FAZ (German newspaper) on May’s dinner with Juncker, it doesn't make for good reading. Its in German but a reporter from the Economist has translated the major points: 1) May had said she wanted to talk not just Brexit but also world problems; but in practice it fell to...

Why should nurses working long hours and on shifts have to house share to be able to afford to live anywhere? And of course thanks to the changes the government have made to bursaries and fees they now enter employment with an average of £68K in debt to repay.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

If the budget was that bad why was Mowbray looking at players from higher divisions? Doesn't make sense. I don't for a minute believe we had the lowest budget in the league. Our payout on agent fees was the 4th highest in the division.

After such a long delay did they do full warm ups again? If not that might be why they just knocked it around. Wanted to avoid anyone getting injured.

In work benefits are at a record high. The taxpayer is essentially subsidising employers who won't pay staff a living wage. Many of them while they make huge profits. The UK has suffered a bigger real terms fall in wages than any other developed country apart from Greece.

She was terrible on Marr this morning. Problem is how many people watch that? Marr quoted Royal College of Nursing figures showing nurses have had a 14% pay cut since 2010 and they are using food banks in order to eat. Her answer was to basically say nurses needing to use food banks was nothing...

Fair play, 600 away tickets sold. To turn up to a nothing game when already relegated for a lunchtime kick off is a good effort. Thank god this season is nearly over. We can look forward to a summer of arguing about make believe stadiums, rent and judicial reviews!

    General Election

Its a big problem. There was a study done during the last general election that showed that for a large percentage of voters the party they were voting for wasn't the party closest aligned to their beliefs. Having a press and media dominated by the right wing doesn't help. Noticed that the UK...

    General Election

Not long in the grand scheme of things. The process has now been derailed by a general election so nothing will happen till the second half of June by which time the German elections will be in full swing. That will likely require a coalition to be formed so realistically we're looking at next...
