If it wasn't Wayne Rooney people wouldn't really care that much. Every now and then he's going to get himself in trouble, much like every now and then a goalkeeper will fumble an easy claim, a player will miss a penalty, etc.

I'm fairly sure they are trying to get players in. How strictly they're sticking to their skinflint budget and whether we actually will get anyone in is another thing, but they're not stupid enough to think we don't need extra personnel so I don't think it's a lie to say they're looking.

I assume this, every time I end up playing in goal I have to fight against all my natural reactions which tell me to get the hell out of the way of a ball flying my way. When people actually choose to go in goal I assume they've got a masochistic streak (or just aren't jessies like me)
