ACL and CCC did alright out of it though. Every cloud has a silver lining.

There are so many contradictions and skewed attitudes. "SISU will charge a massive rent", "SISU are only interested in the Arena" they say totalling ignoring that ACL charge a massive rent and PH4 is a bloody property developer, not a dyed-in-the-wool soccer guy.

OK, I'll answer your points. No, it wasn't the best deal at the time. It was the only deal. The club were homeless and had no choice. CCFC had messed up and ACL took full advantage. Nope, SISU never renogotiated it. Stupid. They must have been confident of getting to the promised land...

Post SISU I can understand as the way they stopped paying the rent was out of order. However, the attitude over the original rent agreement is really strange. I just don't get the "ha, ha ACL got one over on CCFC" attitude from fans of the Club.

Odd attitude really. Considering this was years before SISU even arrived you're still siding with ACL rather than the Club. I would have thought you'd have wanted the best deal for your football team not the local council.

Wanted? I bet CCFC didn't "want" the massive rent when they first moved into the Ricoh. I imagine they had little choice in the matter. And as previously stated four months later they tried to get the rent reduced without success.
